When your thread title says, just for example, "here toy go", but you meant for it to say "here you go". You can go to the first post, click the edit button, and edit the title.
I see people all the time mess up their spelling or grammar, or even post the wrong information, such as XD-40 in the title when they meant XD-9, but for some reason people do not edit the title. They will even apologize several times in the thread for their mistake, but never just simply hit the edit button on the first post, and fix the title. I guess not everyone knows this. |

What are you, one of them there high falutin tearchers?!?! |
No sht!! OMG!! Il going to have to go back and bold all my topics.
No. But I date a first grade tearcher. Does that count? |
Done. Thanks. It is amazing how simple that was to fix. |
Thanks John. |
I guess not everyone knows I have a "Trash" button. Do you? |
No problem Dave. |
Someone let Ed out of the home again, and he's cranky! |
Now that you've decided to be a nag, I don't think I'll fix the word "twon" to its proper spelling of "town" on my thread title.
All I have is "Report". But I can click that thing until the cows come home and I still don't ever hear a gunshot, or receive a piece of paper with a graph on it. |
+1 You just hurt someone's self esteem. |
Hopefully this doesn't destroy the fun of some threads.
I've got to go now ... I'm going to use the " button. |
I did not even see it. I don't mean to nag, but I guess it is the analytical in me. I can't stand to see something I have done wrong, stay wrong if it is within my power to fix. |

I said "Cranky"
Did they not serve your favorite flavor of JELL-O®, this morning? |
Sleepy, Sneezy, Bashful, Dopey, Doc, Happy? |
Whatever! |
Will do! That is a gorgeous baby. |
Will someone please get Ed some JELL-O®, |
Can't take any credit ... I searched images for "duckies and bunnies" hoping to find CoC compliant pictures!! |
I have been waiting for a surgeon to send me a specimen as a consult since 10:30AM.......................BUT I AM NOT CRANKY, GRUMPY, OR UPSET!
Pissed? Agitated? |
Just be happy they didn't call you snow white or smurfette or something |
So, no JELL-O®, |
Do not hijack this thread. It is NOT about JELLO.It is about the Edit button.
Hey, I used the "Edit" button to change waithing to waiting |
I would edit his title with a misspelled word.....and then lock his account. |
Understood, I used the "Edit" button to un-Jell-O® my posts. |
Nice |
Hey now! You aren't helping! |
***ETA, I find myself using all the buttons lately... Type, preview, spellcheck, submit, edit, re-preview, spellcheck just in case, re-submit. and there is usually still something messed up. |
so now the thread's about JELLO? |
There is always room for Jell-O. ByteTheBullet (-: eta: speliing...damn, that edit button works!!! |
Well, even I must agree that it would be more interesting to talk about JELL-O (<--isn't that the correct spelling?), than to discuss the Edit button as originally intended by Mr 3006! ETA : JELL-O was invented about 20 minutes (LEROY,NY) from where I am sitting STILL WAITING! |
I know there's always room for it but we went from:
to:
and now I'm confused eta: corrected the JELLO's to the proper JELL-O's |
This thread is about using the Edit button to correct spelling errors. You all misspelled JELL-O ETA I just noticed the bolt (the one that looks like a flower with a missing petal) next to my name. Also, my post count went up significantly with this thread |
Hey go for it. I will even edit the thread title. |
