Don't even know if that's the right way to phrase my question.  I needed the driver for my Mustek 1200 lll EP Scanner and the good folks at Mustek were good enough to send me the driver, although it in a "zipped" file.  

I try to open the file and it "looks" like it booting up, but then it just kinda "disappears".  Does this make any sense what I'm trying to explain?  Do I need some type of special "unzipper" to run this program for my scanner?

Yes, you need something like WinZip that will unzip the file for you.

It's a type of archive, which is a way of putting multiple files into one larger file, sometimes compressing the contents of the original files so that they take up less space.

Thanks for the computer lesson......if I'd spend more time learning how computers worked vs. downloading porn, I wouldn't have had to ask that question.      Thanks again.

If you use XP, the Unzip function is built into the Windows Explorer.
Right click the zip file and Extract.
