I agree! I miss Michigan more and more everyday! Especially being here at Ft Leonard Wood all summer long!
|
|
From my point of view, Northern Michigan has much to offer with State Parks, State Forests and Great Lakes all around.

Most of my family from my mom's side reside in Michigan. I lived there for 6 years.
My experience & observations of Michigan; - When it comes to hunting & fishing, Michigan is a dream come true for sportsman. - 6 months of freeze your balls off, 2 months nice, 2 months hot & humid, 2 months nice. Repeat. - Michigan has voted for the Leftist for the past 5 Presidential elections. Probably will again this time too. |

Work with a guy from Grand Rapids. Weirdest son of a bitch, I've ever met. If your gonna send representatives out west, to bag about your great state, you should really rethink the selection process.
Come to think of it, every time I meet somebody from Michigan, they're pretty weird, too. I think I'll stay out here, AZ!! |

Never been. Is there mountains there? Probably not like we have here. |

If there was a single job to be had in the UP, I'd live there.
|
|
I love Michigan, with the exception of Detroit and the southern industrial corridor.
I'd live in the UP gladly. Good folks in the rural parts, too. |

No gators, no swamp, no crawfish. They have tons of swamp. |

I have worked with a few guys from Michigan over through the years.
You are from west Michigan so you must be a good guy. those eastern Michigan guys are completely different. |

Why does your flag say if you seek a peninsula, you had better be circumcised?

http://www.50states.com/flag/image/nunst035.gif http://www.ezilon.com/maps/images/usa/michigan_simple.gif As someone once told me, "Michigan might not have the best of anything, but we have of best of everything". And I include both the good and bad with that statement. Of course, I'm biased from living on Michigan's Lake Michigan side and being born in the North. life long resident and there are not too many other places I'd rather be (and I have been a shit ton of places). Went to Michigan in January to meet my GF's family. Nice folks inna midwest, even do dey tawk funny. Enjoyed my NV CCW recognition, saw Lansing, Bath and then spent a couple days in a cabin drinking and playing card games. Will go back to see the UP in favorable weather.

Grew up in Michigan , loved it. Still do. Should have moved there after getting out of the Army. I hate it here

My wife is from the UP (Sault Ste Marie). She moved down here to Ohio right before we got married. Biggest mistake ever. I shouldve moved up there. One of the biggest mistakes in my life.
