Some of the work on these guns is amazing, even if it is kinda tacky.

There poor but they have gold guns.
At least you know what they love
Link Posted: 10/16/2009 8:59:59 AM EST
The gold SVD is real practical. Nothing like a gold-plated sniper rifle
Link Posted: 10/16/2009 9:00:11 AM EST
Bling Galil is just wrong.
Link Posted: 10/16/2009 9:00:59 AM EST

Tacky would be if the art was luchador themed instead of religious.

The AR with the beta mag looks like a 5 year old took a bedazzler to it
Link Posted: 10/16/2009 9:32:56 AM EST
Apparently the Virgin Mary is the patron saint of drug trafficking.

And I don't care what anyone says, I like the blinged out AK's
Link Posted: 10/16/2009 9:36:38 AM EST
Are those 1911's being balanced on... GLOCK magazines?!?!

Just gotta love a drug dealing killer with a representation of the Virgin Mary on his .45.

Talk about BBQ guns......

Spend that much money on your "piece" then run American Eagle ammo through it.... Lack of taste IMO.

I think it's some kind of international law.

Actually the toes are part of the weapons stash on display.

They were smuggled into Mexico from America.

Its the belief and commitment to God and religion merged with the ruthless business practices of the drug trade. When death, in the words of Tupac, really is "just around the corner" it keeps a guy spiritual.

Those are just beautiful.
Link Posted: 10/16/2009 9:59:38 AM EST

what is it with third-world nations and overly-flashy weapons?

it seems like there is some kind of inverse proportion where, the crappier your nation is, the more custom engraving and gold plating you need on your firearms.

Not spiritual enough to stop murdering other people, apparently.

I could be wrong because I have never seen them but could they be 38 super 1911 magazines?
Link Posted: 10/16/2009 10:05:54 AM EST
The gold-plated Iraqi Tabuk's and SVD in the one pic are interesting. Must've bought em from Sadaam.
Link Posted: 10/16/2009 10:06:43 AM EST
I'm not gonna front and say I wouldn't snap up one of those engraved Colts if the price were right. I'd like that engraver to jump the Rio Grande and set up shop in my town.

The first AK has mesquite wood for grips and a forearm.

I want one.

No gold, but mesquite furniture for one of the AKs would be cool.

That doesn't exactly look comfortable to shoot.
With that front site, it doesn't seem like (from this angle) there'd be much of a point in aiming anyway

Actually, Jesus Malverde is the patron saint of drug dealing, but I didn't see him in any of the pics.

I am very curious to the reliability of some of those firearms.

Those are just normal mexican wedding guns.
