GREAT QUESTION!!
Link Posted: 10/23/2013 6:33:30 PM EST
I thought armslist was taken off the net due to the majority of posters were Nigerian scammers.
Link Posted: 10/23/2013 6:35:15 PM EST
It's a tiny scope. An LT-104 won't work. Use what works.

You don't even see it.

It looks a little bit strange, and is likely the result of someone having a surplus of red-dot sight mounts, but it probably works just fine.
Link Posted: 10/23/2013 6:50:25 PM EST
I like it also. Whats the problem?

I'm not seeing the problem...

Only problem is the scope cap bands are inside the scope mount.
Link Posted: 10/23/2013 7:01:48 PM EST
Are the elastic bands inside the scope rings?

Nope.
Just wrapped on the right side of the scope.
Link Posted: 10/23/2013 7:07:07 PM EST
I'm sure it works just fine. Kinda odd tho

Why not just use straight mounts? That "kneed" mount just adds weight.
Link Posted: 10/23/2013 7:13:44 PM EST
I don't get it. What's the issue?

It's just an unorthodox way of mounting a short stubby scope, is all.

The way the single 'rings' are contoured, it might even yield a more stable mounting platform for that scope, but I'm no 'physics' guy.

Not sure he should have mounted the elastic bands in the scope mounts.

This. Nikon actually advertises that as one way to use their mounts. I don't see anything wrong with it.
