I had a big blackie in my back yard last month eating his well earned meal from my trash can. I asked him what he was doing and he proceeded to take a piss in my back yard. They are still cool creatures!

Lots of bears around here this year.My trash was torn open by one last week.

I love seeing bears. Both black and brown in the yard this year.
I like bear sausage even better.

I take the family to The Great Smoky Mountains National Park, usually once a year. Bear watching is one of our favorite activities. In the last six trips, we have not been disappointed. We saw 8 on our trip in August this year, including 5 cubs. I got within 10 yards of a small male.

And this is the real reason why bears have been such a nuisance lately. Not enough hunting, and too much public interactions. |
