It said Conoco is no friend of the Second Amendment.  Anyone else see one of these billboards?

Heard about it on the news a while back.  Conoco searched its employees' CARS and canned those that had guns inside.  They fired people that had worked for the company for 10-20 years with exemplary records.

F**king bastards.

Soon - who will need laws to restrict firearms ownership and posession?  The leftist corporations will take care of that.

You got that right.

I live about half an hour south of Bartlesville, OK and the CONOCO/PHILLIPS refinery. Random Gestapo style searches of employee vehicles and then they fire anyone, regardless of length on the job or job performance.

OF COURSE they DO NOT GUARANTEE employees' safety to and from work. And forget about parking off premises and hiking to work. Their facility covers several square miles.

PS: Oklahoma recently passed a state law that says an employer CANNOT fire an employee for having a gun in their locked car on the company premesis, but CONOCO and Weirhauser Lumber have both dropped big bucks to tie the law up in Federal courts so the law in unenforceable for right now...

In the meantime, CONOCO/PHILLIPS and Weirhauser Lumber can both kiss my fat arse. I'm not spending any of my money on either company.
