Ms. Brady has lung cancer but of course it's not her fault but that of the awful cigarette companies. "I'm a cigarette addict" says Madam Brady. Of course MSNBC had to applaud her actions in taking on the "powerful gun lobby !"

RAF, that would be "White Horse." The old man, Joe, had a monopoly on that brand during prohibition. After prohibition had funded the mob - including Joe Kennedy (Yes he was mob)prohibition was repealed Joe Kennedy became an "industrialist."

I posted this diatribe, or one similar to it, a long time ago..... There are 2 types who advocate gun control... First are those who are "True Believers"....also known as the hopelessly ignorant. They hate guns. They think they know why, but if you ask them, they have difficulty building a logical framework. They're so intellectually dishonest and their minds are so slack that they happily parrot whatever line "feels" right, all along believing themselves to be true thinkers, with sincere concern for their fellow man. Their sin is one of laziness, and of arrogance, arrogance that their beliefs, no matter how absurdly arrived at, are the only ones that can possibly be true. They are fools, but not evil, and therefore more deserving of scorn than hate. Then their are the others. You will know them by their eyes. Corny? Hardly. They are the ones when faced with facts that do not glaze over, but simply retreat. The True Believer will sputter, and fight, and sweat, and do everything he can to show you how very wrong your beliefs are. The others, those that know the truth, will recognize you for what you are....someone who knows also knows the truth. They will not bother attempting to countermand your arguements. They have no interest in you. There are many others, the ignorant, who need their attention. These ARE evil people. They are, I believe, in the gun control, and socialist movement in general, few. But they are the motivating force behind both, make no mistake. The way they prey on the first is identical to Communism's co-opting of Useful Idiots. That being said, there are some who do not easily fit either mold. Sarah Brady started, I believe, as the first. A woman who saw, at best, the man she loved gunned down by a lunatic, while he was in the service of his country and his President. At worst, she is a woman who saw her center of power diminished in a second and sought another. I do tend to believe, as I do with most family members of victims, that she honestly does feel a great deal of pain, and that is what started her on her journey. Surely, however, she has been educated on her journey, and now knows the truth. Whether she is evil now is debatable. I give some slack to the families of victims out of compassion. BUT....however understandable her feelings of pain may be, they cannot be allowed to infringe my rights. I would comfort her if I could, as any human should do for another. But I would fight to the last to protect my rights from her emotions. As for the comment about "Show no mercy"...Beekeeper, I don't know you, and I do tend to think the best of anyone who has the intellence, grace, wit, and common sense to have a wholely unnatural love for the sweet, sweet black rifle. But I have not seen any of your graveyards, sir, and I think that is something we can both be grateful for. I abhor her views, but take no joy in her suffering. She is not Osama Bin Laden. She is a pathetic wretch, and her movement is crumbling as fast as her health. I celebrate the former and regret the latter. Live Free or Die. Vass

I saw that clip more than a year ago, watched it several times, and would not care to revisit it....I felt horribly for that kid, and it hit me the hardest when I imagined it was my brother. It was difficult enough...that guy was just a baby. I was angry.. I was actually angry at the guy that sent me the link. That kid was helpless and begging for his life. Is that a position that Sarah Brady wishes us to be in? A debate for another time. But if you felt nothing seeing that poor kid get slaughtered, helplessly, then I don't even know why you would be involved in this conversation. You clearly aren't fazed by the death of someone you don't know. I can't imagine why you would care what they think. You change tires in the rain. So take the "1000 yard stare" stuff somewhere else...I'm not buying it. Keep your ice cold soldiers...Professionally cold? Sure. But I want people who are passionate, powerful and motivated in my foxhole. If the death of someone who is presumably innocent does not touch you, there isn't much to fight about. As for her being equal to Bin Laden, I don't know. If she's ignorant, that's one thing. If she is actively acting to help subjugate her fellow citizens, consiously working towards a goal beyond "safety", then maybe you're right. And yes, Bless Rush. I don't always agree with him, or his bombast, but believe he is a legitimately good person. I do hope for his recovery, but think he's enough of a raw talent to get by without. Live Free or Die. I remember seeing her and Jimmy on the last Larry King Live appearance. She said she would walk out of the chemotherapy treatments and light up. Now personally, THAT is EXACTLY the kind of stability I want to be influencing legislation that affects my life. Of course I am being sarcastic.

She tries to control others lives, yet she can't even try and control hers. It must be those "addicting" cigs. B.S., my wife smoked 15 yrs, my aunt 45+ yrs. Doctor said quit or die. They both quit, been 10 yrs and 5 yrs, respectively. Still smoke'n on chemo., this bitch had a chance to save herself. Typical liberal who thinks someone else should be responsible for their own common sense. Whenever she goes I hope to think some of the wind in her cause goes too. But unfortunately, she'll be martyrized, wonder if the media would do it for LaPiare?

Shit. I had a whole big nice post, and it seems it decided not to show up, or I screwed the pooch. Knowing me, chances are the pooch did indeed get lucky tonight. Hit some highlights....Yes, I've seen that video, hated it, made me angry and helpless feeling. Does Sarah Brady want us to be unable to defend ourselves like that poor slob? Dunno. Arguement for another time. But if you felt nothing, out of my foxhole, sarge. I don't need 1000 yard stare types. Professionals? No question. But I also want people who are passionate and compassionate. Those are the types that will die for you, and the ones worth dying for. And I don't mean those earlier words in an Oprah way, believe me. I don't think you are as "cold" as your purporting, or you wouldn't be in the rain changing tires. And bless Rush, indeed. God isn't calling in his talent back just yet...You know it is on loan, don't you? Live Free or Die. Vass

Vass, I have that video on my desktop and look at it every few days. Does it bother me? No. He was a solider and a prisoner of war. No, show me pics of auto accitents, and I cringe and get a sick feeling. I have seen pics of an airman who was utterly destroyed by an exploding F-15 tire assembly, and I wasn't really bothered by it. Why? In the first and third, they died in the preformance of their job (as dictated by the surroundings). In the second, I have no real context as to the how and why. Remember, like you said, I could be your brother, and for that reason, the sickness and death of traitors like Sara Brady should not be a burden on your feelings. I hope she dies a painful death, like she wishes for the TRUE America. [smoke]

Wouldn't it be ironic (and a pisser at that) if she put herself out of her misery with a handgun at the final moment? [devil]

Guys we wax philosophic about a lot of matters, but if this woman (no matter how abhorrent her viewpoints are), is sick it might behoove us to be a little less judgemental. Our cause cannot be furthered by this type of rhetoric and as a matter of fact some who might wish to join us might be disillusioned by the coldheartedness, just a thought

After all the rapes, robberies, murders, orphans, ruined lives, wasted effort, wasted money and just general hate and discontent that treasonous BITCH has been responsible for, I find no place in my heart for sympathy for her. My only wish is that she lives long enough to suffer agony appropriate to the horrors she has caused.

Thousands of Americans have lost their lives defending our freedoms. Why should we feel sorry if an enemy of our Constition is dying?

Ok, Who's the stupid guy? Me, because I didn't have the intelligence to figure out that my first post went on the second page...Pull up a chair, youngsters, and I'll tell you of a day when the pages on AR-15 scrolled on and on and on.... Anyway, Beekeeper...I didn't mean to imply that you were the "1000 yard stare" type....I meant that I knew you weren't, so the ice cold stuff doesn't fit. As far as Sarah Brady goes, will I get all weepy and take a long shower to hide my tears when/if this ends up getting her? No. But I won't be doing the Happy Dance I do on "Got a 1000 Rounds of Ammo and Nothing Else Schedualed" Day either. It's not just wrong, it's in horrible taste. When Richard the Lionhearted had the shits during the Crusades, Saladin sent him dates, pears and snow to cool his fever, even though they were mortal enemies. That may sound pretty gay (I mean that literally, and some historians would agree if you thought so....There is evidence both of them were peter puffers), and I am not saying that Sarah Brady deserves flowers and paid hospital bills from the gun community. What I am saying is we are, on a whole, better. Ignoring the fact that she's dying or dead will be all the more galling to her fellow travelers (for an example in a similar vein, and stay with me on this one, Howard Stern used to send Stuttering John out to confront celebrities with horrid questions...Of all the nasty ones he came up with, he finally realized there was one basic question that drove them all to conniptions...'Who are you?'...Those with delusions of self importance hate being irrelevant more than being hated, and so do movements.) Anyway, as adults, as people who respect individuals right to do as they please within the confines of their own rights, and the inate respect for life and health that goes with that, I believe that gloating over her cancer, or the disease of anyone, is in direct opposition to what we, or at least, I, stand for. I really must get out of the habit of speaking for everyone. You're all pretty articulate. And sometimes it's just me anyway. Live Free or Die. Vass

Bee, I like you too, make no mistake about it. I have been through the "I hate these f*cking gun grabbing bastards" thing already though, and it doesn't really serve much purpose. I do *NOT* mean that in a "Oh, I've been where you are man, you'll grow out of it" way. I wouldn't insult you like that. I don't know if where my feelings on the subject are more advanced or retrograde, and I suppose it doesn't really matter. What does matter is, at least to me, I just tend to take a step back and not get too worried about the personalities involved. I just try to deal with the issue. From my much earlier post, you know that I divide the anti-gun crowd into a couple of camps. The camp that I identify as "evil" could die tomorrow in a boat accident, and I wouldn't grieve or celebrate. Think of it as attrition. One less, that's all. I certainly wouldn't celebrate their pain or suffering. Their pain and suffering does nothing to promote my beliefs, and may even help their if someone throws them up on a cross like a latter day Jesus..."Look how brave, dying, but fighting to the last". I don't need martyrs. I'm rambling, but whatever. I don't cheer anyone's illness. I don't celebrate anyone else's grief. If there was some sort of poetic justice going on, for example, she would have been able to shoot Mr. Cancer if only she had a sweet, sweet, beautiful pre-banShorty Carbine with a trijicon ACOG, m203 launcher, loaded with CorBon frangibles stuffed in an original Colt 30 rd, the kind with the green follower, and.... Holy shit, someone stop me. I'm getting all excited. Anyway, that would have some poetry in it, and help our cause. Her dying of cancer just hurts her family, who I presume love her, even though she is an idiot. Live Free or Die. Vass
