I bought an A2 stock and it had some teflon tape on it, so to get it off I had to scrape and sand on the plastic, but now it has a dull finish. Is there a type of wax that I can use on the plastic to get it back to a shiny finish? or can I paint it? What type of paint will work? Thanks

Best to use a plastic polish to bring it back to it's original finish.

Most automotive shops sell plastic polishes that should work.
First, use VERY fine sand cloth to remove all scratches and gouges.
Use progressively finer grits to get it smoothed up, then use the polish.
Remember, the stock should have a low luster, satin look, not shiny.
