I give them credit for being bold. It is a performance center gun after all. They could just churn out boring stuff that they know will sell and blow off the wild stuff.
I agree the grip is distracting. Although I like unfluted (right word?) cylinders the black cylinder seems to clash with the rest of the guna and the different color emphasizes how short the cylinder is in comparison to the hole in the frame where the cylinder goes, whatever it is called. I agree that butt ugly is a fair description. |

One of the ugliest things on that revolver (aside from the grips and cylinder) is the "internal lock". Truth be told, I'm not at all surprised by this "feature" on a new S&W, considering who bought the company.
What really burns me is the few manufacturers who are slapping this crap on their products voluntarily. How long before some shitwit legislator gets a wild hair up his/her butt and decides that all gun makers should equip their products with an internal lock? When it happens, you can thank companies like S&W (Saf-T-Hammer) and Springfield. Oh, and for you Springfield owners who are going to tell me how simple it is to replace the mainspring housing on your pistol to get rid of that stupid ILS (Integrated Locking System)....wait 'til phase two when the gov't makes modifying any internal "safety" device illegal. |

You know how hollywood tries to represent an acid trip in the movies or on tv?
This looks like S&W's attempt to copy that. Don't take the brown acid... Don't touch the funky performance center gun... |

It is a purpose built comp gun.
Granted ugly, heavy. But with in the wheel gun circles - a potential winner. Not my cup of tea, them them boyz (and girlz) with the moons are fun to watch. |
