I saw that the other day and thought "Well there's the answer to all those dumbass "What pistola should I take to Alaska..." threads"!

Just checked their website.

Not exactly a snubbie, but they did just introduce a 4" barreled .500.

I'm sure that this will be the gun of choice for criminals and gangbangers everywhere.

It would seem to me that if someone came out with a "cowboy load" for this thing, it'd sell like crazy! I would buy & shoot one if it was in the 1000/fps range or less, kind of a .500 spl?

I don't know about a snubby revolver, but I can't figure out why Marlin or Winchester have not come out with a lever rifle in the caliber.

I'd love to see one of them sqeeze off a round and kill himself with the hammer into his forehead.

(ETA - whoa, 1200!)

... I handled one at the SHOT Show this year at the S&W booth

… I can barely justify the existence of my 8" barreled 500 S&W magnum, much less the 4"

... Have considered bobbing a Ruger 454 Casull though

I want one for a carry piece.
I can see it now
"give me ya walllet "
"FUCK YOU *pulls out s&W 500"
*guy shits him self after staring down massive bore*

Of courrse one of those AOW shotguns would probly be a bigger intimidation factor.

I saw one of the "Hunter" versions (brake, rail and sling) at the funshop yesterday. Guy was just picking it up and they were pulling it out of the box for a look see.

I had this totally irrational "I WAN'T ONE" reaction upon seeing it (along with this huge, dumb grin on my face that I couldn't seem to get rid of).
