Just came home from Circuit City with a new monitor for my home PC.
For the last 'coupla years I've been using the Dell 15" monitor that came with the computer. Since I got the 'puter, I've upgraded the graphics card, expanded the RAM to 1.5g, etc... I figured it was time for a decent monitor... so I let the guy at Circuit City talk me into the 19" Samsung 930B.  I've never seen AR15.com like this before. UNBELIEVABLE ! |

Heh , my sis bought the same thing a couple weeks ago , on my recommendation.
 I'm waitin till my 19" Tube gets fuzzy  (Too many Guns to buy first)

Two years ago this month I had an old computer that my brother-in-law gave me. It had an old-school 15" monitor that took up all the space on my desk. Then, after I beat the ever-living shit out of the computer with a hammer for freezing up on me for the tenth time that day (two years ago this month), I went out and bought a new Sony Vaio with a 17" LCD flatscreen monitor and bought DSL for it.

I just can't get over the difference...
Absolutely raczor sharp images, crystal clear, bright, HUGE, etc... This thing is the cats whiskers... 700:1 1280 x 1024 screen size... The internet seems SO much bigger and cleaner now.  All I can say is... DAYUM ! |

I've got a Samsung SyncMaster 913v, 19", native 1280x1024. There are exactly two things I would change to make it my perfect monitor:
1. The shiny surface rather than the matte coating, because the shiny-surfaced ones tend to have better color, and are easier to clean. 2. DVI rather than/in addition to VGA. My vid card is dual-DVI-out, and I'm wasting data by stepping it down. It has two dead/stuck pixels, but they're barely noticable. Next monitor will be a Samsung if I can get one with DVI and smooth coating. |

I have the exact same monitor. I call it Sammy clear picture. It is very nice isn't it.

When it came time to replace my 5 year old 17" Samsung last year I decided to go with a Samsung 19" CRT. It is beautiful. I cannot bring myself to buy an LCD yet.

It's worth a look, that's for sure. There were a couple other brands on display but this Samsung had a noticably better picture quality. The others were 450:1 & 500:1, and were only slightly cheaper at $279-$329. This one cost me $379 and is worth every penny in my opinion. |

Ive got a Samsung 170MP.
Only 17", but the built in TV tuner is pretty freaking cool. Watching TV in the PIP while playing video games is something I'll never be able to do without now. |
