Local NE FL gun store is selling brand new Saiga-12 shotguns for $599. What's the average asking price these days?

Can you still get mags & parrts?

They have some competition with the VEPR and other "cool factor" shotguns coming out.

I imagine you'll see their price drop back to 450-500 someimte in the near future.

Just my .02

Several US mag producers. The hts are all standard AK once you make the furniture "unban" switch. Only thing I would worry about is maybe firing pin and extractor....

I got one for $250, fired it once and sold it for like $450 once I decided I didn't have the funds to convert it.

They're cool but the costs add up pretty quick.

You really need to add a Bolt Hold Open device because otherwise the mag changes are really fiddly which defeats the purpose of the thing.

At least that was my experience.

Yeah, I just traded my Tromix Saiga, I realized that now I can get a VEPR-12 with all the features of my Tromix, plus a mag-well and bolt hold-open with an empty mag for $1000 even. I may not even end up buying one either, but I think the Saiga started a fun fad. Now the craze to have cool semi-auto shotguns is spreading, and we'll have more options with reasonable prices before long.

Yea, my two wear magwells so the bolt situation/reload is a hell of alot easier but in terms of parts I would worry about not having should they break, there really isn't that much.....
