Leaving LV was about as depressing as it gets

And pretty much a true story.

I'm thinking of others now..,

And I read Last exit to Brooklyn. That was shockingly depressing too.

No, but if you want to see Alex croak violently in a movie check out that movie he did with Anthony Hopkins in Alaska.  Can't recall the name, but he falls in a spike pit and eventually takes the eternal dirt nap right before the rescue chopper lands to rescue him.  Awesome movie. Grizly bears and Hopkins' wife is that hottie super model from Oz....Elly something. Oscar material movie....yeah buddy.

I couldn't make it past the first 5 minutes of Requiem for a Dream.

There's too much suck in life to dwell even more on it by watching a movie about what sucks in the world.

I can't recall the name, but there was a movie about a Russian teen who's mother abandons her to become a mail order bride in America. Left behind in Russia, her only friend is a young boy.

She starts dating a guy who offers to take her to Sweden (I think). Her young friend kills himself when he finds out she is leaving. When she arrives in Europe, she finds out that her boyfriend actually sold her to a sex slave ring.

The rest of the movie is her being beaten and forced to have sex with a bunch of skeevy guys in bars and hotels. The movie ends when she throws herself off a bridge onto a highway.

Pretty much the worst date movie ever.
