This is Katie about 5 years ago. She was 8 back then and a perky little pup.

Today I laid her to rest. She was an outstanding friend and hunting partner.

I am going to miss her very much.

Present, Arms! The love for a wonderful pet knows no bounds. They give so much with so little expected in return. Life is rich because of them.

Remember where to bury your beloved, Katie. In your heart.

Sorry to hear it. I've had to put a few of our critters in the ground too, and it's just about as rough as an actual family member.
Go out and get a new one, and train her up.
