We did, but they needed $100K deposit and all we had were $1million bills. 
Honestly, if someone has that kind of $ and is looking to get into the industry, this is an excellent opportunity to get a bargain. Not only is there more than enough inventory to cover the purchase price, but there are military/gov contracts that are likely salvageable and the opportunity to get your money back in less than 6 months is more than realistic. Sabre not only manufactures for these contracts and their own sales, but they make products for a large number of major manufacturers including many on this site. |

I read about the sale a couple days ago but I haven't been following the news about them,how did they go tits up with seemingly lucrative gov/private contracts? |

The value here is restoring the operation of the company; it's failure is not a result of a lack of business opportunity, production hardships or bad products, but a combination of factors that led the lender to bail leaving the company with no cash.  I was expecting a mfg. like Sabre would be worth more than that. Hell, I bought an apartment building back in June for a hair under $1.5mil. and I only financed $250k of it because I already had a pre-approved line of credit at Chase that I decided to take advantage of. |

Machinery and building are all leased, parts and product certainly included, as is the company itself with any assets as well as any contracts (DOD would have the option to continue the contracts or pull out, but that will depend on who purchases it and their negotiation skillz). |
