I am selling a high-end rifle and a guy is offering me "one of two in existance" STI .224 BOZ pistols.

Anyone have ANY ifo on this pistol? It was on sale on Gunsamerica at one point, and I was refered to the auction to get the description. Seems a bit shady.

Here is the description:

The barrel is a BarSto stainless barrel (unmarked) for the .224 round. Other differences from a standard LS40 is that the springs have been changed to accomodate the light recoil of this round. Brass is formed from 10mm cases (the original 224 case uses a small pistol primer, but is not available to civilians in the US from the distributor due to restrictions imposed by CDS and the distributor) and standard 40 or 55 gr. 223 bullets can be used. 3 fired cases and 1 dummy round (all modified 10mm cases)

He is also offering a complete set of Hornady loading dies for the round ("Full loading die set and 3 custom formers") he values at $500.

How much is this pacakage worth? I have never heard of a .224 BOZ round.

Thanks for the link!

Interesting cartridge - but does anyone know if STI made 2 protype pistols for it?

What's the advantage of this over the Five-seveN, besides being apparently rare?

I would just contact STI. THey are a Texas company that has a good rep for CS. I am sure they would verify these claims without much trouble.
