I have a Franchi SPAS 15 with three 3 mags.  Mint.  I see all kinds of prices on the net for a SPAS15, but don't know what one actually sells for since there are so few around.

last one I saw went for $5000. SPAS 15s are very rare, less than 3000 in the states if memory serves me. If you have one I would keep it.

realist show me where I can get one for $1500. and I am there!! [:D]

I would have thought it was more like 300 that got in.

Blue book says importation denied by BATF after about 200 made it into states in 1989. $2,000 plus.

I too have seen the $5000.00 price tag.

Wouldn't you think the SPAS-15 should have made the DD list before the SPAS-12?

why?
It goes DD it gets registered without tax payment and in any state.  Price may come down a bit but then again it may not.

Your right. Somewhere along the line my memory added a "0". I must be playing the lottery to much [:D]

The price I gave is correct however

it would be a mess for one reason. hte price to be a DD dealer is unbelivable. its not like class 3. i understand a DD trasaction is a huge pain in the ass. i guess it would be fine to own, but the purpose of making some evil shotguns DD (usas and streetsweeper) was so they die with thier owner in many cases.

If it becomes a DD, you don't have to be a DD dealer to register it. In fact no dealers are involved.

Just a Form 1 (or 5) with no finger-prints, CLEO sign-off, or any of the rest.

That's how it worked for those who had to register a Street Sweeper or USAS.

Really easier than the yellow form thing for a normal gun. You already own the gun. You would just have do a tax free registration.

If you every wanted to sell it or buy one that has been registered. Then it becomes the usual NFA pain in the butt.

no mess, no cost, no need to be a dealer, no pain in the ass.
