Politicians react predictably.
Gunfire erupts in Canada shopping area Two suspects arrested after violence leaves one dead, six hurt TORONTO, Ontario (AP) -- Gunfire erupted on a busy Toronto street filled with holiday shoppers Monday evening, killing a young woman and wounding six other people, police said. They said two suspects were arrested and at least one gun was seized shortly after the 5:30 p.m. Monday violence near the popular Eaton Center shopping mall, a downtown zone popular with tourists. Witnesses said they dove for cover or took refuge in shops when they heard gunshots. "Someone said they were shot, and everyone went to the back of the store," said Magnolia Sandoval, an employee at a camera store. Police said they were investigating if the violence was gang related. They did not immediately disclose if the two people arrested were suspected of opening fire or how many attackers were involved. It also wasn't clear if the victims had been purposely targeted. "I can't say which of the individuals have been targeted and which are accidental," Police Staff Sgt. Stan Belza said. "This is an extremely busy shopping day. There were a lot of people out there." Belza described the slain victim as a young woman, without giving her age. The six wounded were hospitalized, including an off-duty police officer who was hit in the leg. Emergency vehicles crowded the shopping area, which was cordoned off with yellow police tape. The Toronto zone was also the site of two other recent shootings. There have been 78 murders in Toronto this year, including a record 52 by gunfire -- twice as many as last year. "I've seen this city change, and I'm not pleased with it," Belza said. "It seems to be so brazen, so little regard for anyone else's safety." The rash of recent gun deaths in Toronto prompted Canadian Prime Minister Paul Martin to announce earlier this month that his government would ban handguns if he were re-elected in the January 23 elections. |

The only thing Canada is good for is cheap meds and preban toilets.

CUCK FANADA!!!!! |
Glad to see their Gun Control laws are working
edited to add: I don't suppose there were any legally armed citizens available to stop the |
Conspiracy nuts...on your mark, get set...GO! ETA: This does not constitute the use of the term SHTF. |
Same everywhere. And don't blame guns for that, blame tolerance. |
I wonder if the shooter happened to face east 5 times a day???????

CNN Headline:
Canada blames U.S. for gun violence
Its Bush's fault.
He signed an EO to modify Cheney's Halliburton Hurricane Machine to make illegal unregistered handguns to be parachuted down onto the peaceful Canadian countryside, where the poor innocent Canadians pick them up and immediately start shooting at the first person they see. Thats it. I spilled the beans. I am marked for secret termination now. Well, its been good knowing you all. |
well on CNN.com they are pinning it on the US for letting too many guns comming north.
Canada story link I hate Canada. |
Yep, now you've done it - they're gonna make you move to Canada |
Crime is on the rise, lets blame somebody else. (Liberal asshat slogan)
Well, obviously the clear solution is to get rid of all the Canadians. That way the handguns won't make the Canadians pick them up and kill eachother.
Damn handguns, always incinuating violence. |
What they need to do is ban murder, attempted murder, and shooting guns in a shopping mall!
Oh wait.... |
+1...I haven't been to that liberal shithole in over 4 years and I have no intention of going back anytime soon... |

Canada blames U.S. for gun violence
"The U.S. is exporting its problem of violence to the streets of Toronto," he said. Miller said that while almost every other crime in Toronto is down, the supply of guns has increased and half of them come from the United States. What a f*&%ing schmuck...you can't be much more stupid than that. |
It is not "gun violence", it is black on black gang violence.
What happened yesterday was appalling. You just don't expect it in a Canadian city," the mayor said. "It's a sign that the lack of gun laws in the U.S. is allowing guns to flood across the border that are literally being used to kill people in the streets of Toronto," Miller said. that pisses me off.......if all else fails blacme the USA |
You didn't seriously expect them to take the blame for their failed socialist policies. Did you? |
As they often do. We read about that in the paper all the time, being a state bordering them. |
So the fuck what? Police your own shit you fuck nut. |
I blame Canada for all the crime in Detroit. Canadians come over for cheap hookers and blow and just can't deal with the freedom.
Darned criminals seem to have guns despite the gun laws. Gee, why don't those criminals follow gun laws?
Well, the young lady who was killed was 15, so she was just a kid.
as for them banning handguns, Handguns have been heavily restricted (meaning registered and permits required to do ANYTHING with them since 1934 or so), I somehow doubt making them even harder to get will change anything. Now that said, My premier (like the governor, he is the highest elected official for my Province) has told them to pound sand and that we (meaning my province) will not endorse, nor follow such a ban. Good to live in the free west (well, freer leastways) Crap like this happens in the Rwanda of Canada and the rest of us suffer for it..... Hurry up and annex us dammnit!!!! Edited to add that though the politicians (IN THE EAST) blame the USA for Firearms coming North, they seem to fail to realize that it is Canada's unarmed border guards who are responsible to stop stuff being smuggled into our country, not the US border guards business to stop stuff being smuggled out of the US. If it were the other way around I woudl ahve US customs questioning me on the way up and Canada on the way down, I cna assure you that as of the last trip I took to the USofA that was not the case. The eastern politicians have their heads so far up their asses their brains have died from lack of oxygen. |
The mayor of Toronto is a fool with his comments... The govnt up here screwed up bigtime and they just wanna blame the yanks... Not surprising... Ass kiss to get liberal votes in Ontario/ . Seriously kinda embarrassing having the govnt blame our southern neighbors when we dont even have enough border police...
This is my retarded govnt at work and its not supported by all CANADIANS. That being said can we ease up on the Anti-Canadian mood in here |
The problem is definitely with something recently imported into canada, all right, but it's not the guns.
I wonder why there aren't any pictures of these shooters? |
Please watch out who ya'll call yanks!!! Thats a dirty word down here in dixie to us country folk my tobogin wearin friend. Ya'll do batch some pretty damn good brewski from time to time though, AY!!! |
Being from the south myself, I don't take being called a "yank" as a bad thing from a Canadian or a Brit. Now being called a "yankee" is another story. Yankee's come from north of the Mason-Dixon line. Yanks (in the proper context) are red blooded, flag waving, ass kicking Americans. |

After Celine Dion? NEVER! |
Yeah but we also got Shania Twain. Such mixed emotions. |
I stand corrected. |
You got that right! Stand strong... You Western Canucks have some righteous cajones to tell the PM to piss off. Canada is a great nation... It's just being run by liberal @$$tards ... |
More a reference to your socialist politicians, Quebec and Toronto, I am sure. Join us! We can use the conservatives and I know I'd love it if some of your provinces were annexed to the US. |
We get the same "Blame America" crap down here too.
Some guy shot and killed an intruder in his home a while ago. He got off on the murder charge (actually, I don't know if he was even charged), but the next day the talking heads were on breakfast television saying what a terrible thing it was that someone was killed, but that they supposed that they could understand why the homeowner did it. One woman actually said that we were becoming like more America every day, and that she wouldn't want to live in a street where people kept guns in their house. Libtard idiot! On the plus side, the token conservative, a guy by the name of Andrew Bolt, said that in U.S. states that had introduced CCW, violent crime had dropped 30%. There was abit of umming and ahhring, but since he had the last word, no one could come back at that |
Not from everyone. I love Canada; I just hate the stupid people in charge that are doing their best to make Canada the example of European liberalism. |
Strange is it not that Britain and Australia have the same problem and are both anti-gun. Could it just possibly have anything to do with the large increase in third world immigration in all three countries? After all both Britain and Australia are islands and can't really blame the US for their gun crimes.
Recently in Australia there were race riots. Recently in Britain there were bombings on the London underground. The Aussies were fighting Leganese immigrants and the terrorists in London were muslim. Don't you think the violence in all these places might just have a little to do with open third world immigration? Just maybe? I lived in Toronto 20 some years ago--before large scale third world immigration alla liberal government; probably wouldn't recognize the place now and don't plan on ever going back for a visit. Sure, blame the US. That is what Canadian liberals do whenever they have a problem. It's just too bad Canada is turning into such a mess of a country. The more restrictive their gun laws, the more crime they will have. Perhaps they should start looking at their immigration policies instead of at american gun dealers. |

Sorry brother. I guess a lot of us on both sides of the border are just tired of all this liberal bullshit goin round. WE all have a lot to lose if firearms are revoked in any western country. Especially Canada!!! fight on!!! |
We in Alaska would like to invite the western provinces to join us in a free nation with rocking gun laws.
Except BC, fucking hippies. |
I've said it before: Didn't Quebec want to secede a while back? Why don't you guys let them go? Then maybe the Western states can join the US. Hey, what are they going to do to stop you, they banned all the guns.
I can't comprehend why our fucking politicians find it so easy to forget the role of Border Security.
It's not as if GW is flying truckloads of handguns into Toronto and handing them out to every black muslim 15-25 year old male. |

You guys can keep her |
