My son is thinking of buying an AR-15 with this
receiver marking. Has anyone seen these in the past?  Thanks in advance for any info.

SGW is a good lower.  A friend's first AR-15 was a preban SGW in CAR-15 configuration.  It shot like a champ.  He wound up selling it during a cash crunch and wishes that he still had it.

No complaints.

Susi,

is it a Milled receiver gun?

They are reportedly very high quality.

Actually, all AR recievers are milled. Perhaps you meant to ask if it was a FORGED reiever as opposed to CAST?

I've got an SGW preban. I like it very much.

GT--

Actually, I ment Milled.  Some of the SGW's were milled from bar stock.  Most guns are forged to rough shape or cast to rough shape, then finish milled.  I have one at the dealer now that I have not seen yet that is all Milled--I understand that it is significantly thicker than the other two machining methods.
