I have no problem with hauling ass on public roads, but not in traffic. Fun to watch, but what these guys were doing was stupid.
It also makes me want to go out an break my personal best of 131 (GPS verified) in my Maxima... |

Yeah, that is kind of cool to watch and all but how many people did they put in danger. A wreck at 180 can take out a lot of cars.
If they had been by themselves I don't really care. I've done over 140 a couple of time in my Porsche but only on a deserted road with no one around. These guys might have been great drivers with great cars but you can't control what the stupid soccer mom in front of you will do when she panics. |

some of those speeds looked inflated
ive done over 130 (no Traffic on road) the trees and guard rails and the other cars go by much faster then they looked on that tape |

On the Autobahn in Germany, people OBEY THE TRAFFIC LAWS! People driving in the left lane GET OUT OF THE WAY when someone is zipping up behind them. From what I hear, tickets actually are given for doing stuff like passing on the right, and not yielding to faster traffic coming up behind you. Road conditions (construction of the road) is also supposedly difference in the road construction (I've heard/read that Autobahn roads have a considerably thicker layer of concrete). |
