Actually, a non-LEO CANNOT possess an LEO-exempted post-ban AW, and BATF has specifically ruled that you can't turn them into post-ban legal rifles either. "Once LEO-restricted, always LEO restricted."
Now, it IS true that some non-AW guns or parts can be marked LEO ONLY and still be legal (Rem 870 folding stocks, for example), but this is not the same as an LEO-restricted-by-law weapon. -Troy |
