I only have one problem with this.  The guys first gun was a .22, all children need an AR or at least an AK!!   Otherwise they will feel inadequate, and that will hurt there self esteem!![;)]

Wow, this guy sounds just like me.  I was eight when my Dad got me my Marlin Model 60, and I still have it too.

He is right about what having a gun teaches a kid too.  Of course, my Dad would also let me drive the D50 when we were on Federal land from the time I could reach the pedals.  Knowing how to drive is also a way.  But maybe he wouldnt have tried that if he hadn't first seen me with a rifle.
