Agreed. The mix buries Neil Peart.

I saw them live during their R30 tour in '94. Live the sound was incredible.

Rush in Rio sound like shit, IMHO. The video is still worth it, though.

I saw them in New Orleans, December 96'. Awesome! Kinda ruined all the concerts of other various bands since.

I want to get a good Rush dvd for my sons who have taken interest in drums and guitar.

I heard him on the radio today.

I didn't realize he was broadcasting from Rio.

Everyone else knew what he was talking about. I think you did to. Don't mess with the guy. GD has deteriorated again here. People need to stop acting like it's high school if they want GD (and AR15.com) to be taken seriously. And I expected more from you.

The only thing I was unclear on is whether there were more than one Rush in Rio DVD's out there (i.e., different sound or video, etc.).

Yes the audio really sucks for most of the first half of RUSH In Rio, They didn't get all the gear until late on the day of the show and didn't have time for all the sound checks etc so it was pretty Rushed .

The R30 concert DVD is out and is pretty damn good also.

I have the Rush In Rio DVD and have seen about 1/3 of th R30 DVD. From what I've seen the R30 DVD is better. I really enjoyed the begining, which was a collage of snipits of different songs, lasted maybe 10 minutes(?). Anyways, the audio quality was much better than the Rush in Rio DVD. I'd recommend buying R30.

Take it from me R30 is WAY better than RiR, but still IMHO is a disapointment.
