I didn't realize these even existed but a club in my area is hosting one of these pretty soon, and I guess they are expecting it to pull in people from out of state.

I'm looking forward to attending both to compete and help as an RO.   Just curious if anyone else have went to one of these.

Our local pistol club has been running them for 2 years.  Simple plate match, with 22's.  Fun, something to shoot that doesn't cost you an arm and a leg; has definitely helped my shooting.  Good for a family, just don't squad the kids with the fast shooters- -neither party will be happy at the end of the day.  Good intro to competition.

Tip.  Use good ammo (make sure it works well in your rifle or pistol before you go) and clean your guns before going.  Malfs seem to be the norm toward the end of the match after everything gets dirty.  Its been eye opening to me how many rifles, pistols and optics go south in 150 shots.

Noted.

I saw it was estimated 350 rounds.   Although it did say no suppressed guns, I guess it wouldn't be good if the timers couldn't hear the guns

I do plan on some function testing prior to.   I have enough high velocity bulk ammo I shouldn't have a problem.
