Hell, the survivors of the Weaver family and Harris received a shitload of money from the gov't after the civil suit. And yet, he went on to have a shady part of the Waco siege, since they found shell casings that matched the caliber of his rifle, and yet they were never matched to his rifle since "It had probably been re-barreled." The charges against him in 97 were dropped on September 14, 2001, by the new prosecutor who got elected in 2000, despite protests from the special prosecutor assigned to the case. Big fucking coincidence, thee days after 9/11. After 97, the dude pretty much fucking vanished. Everything he had a part in was fucking shady as hell, Ruby Ridge and Waco are just the ones that stand out. |

I wonder if he goes to West Point reunions and mentions the time he shot an unarmed woman?

Geraldo Rivera hand his claws in Ruby Ridge. He flew over in a helicopter and reported he was shot at by the Weavers.
Rivera helicopter incident[edit] Following an April 18, 1992, fly-over by a helicopter for the Geraldo Rivera "Now It Can Be Told" television show, U.S. Marshal Service HQ received media reports that Weaver had fired on the helicopter.[26][page needed] That day in Idaho, a U.S. Marshals team was installing surveillance cameras overlooking the Weaver property at the time of the fly-over. The field report for April 18, 1992, filed by Marshal W. Warren Mays, reported seeing a helicopter near the Weaver property, but not hearing any shots fired.[27] Weaver is on record via interview with a local newspaper as having denied that anyone had fired at the helicopter.[27][28] The helicopter pilot Richard Weiss eventually gave evidence in an FBI interview denying that Weaver fired on his helicopter, and the Report of the RRTF to the OPR (1994) states that when the "indictment [of Weaver] was presented to the grand jury, the prosecution had evidence that no shots had been fired at the helicopter."[29][30] The media reports that Weaver had fired on the Rivera helicopter became part of the justification later cited by USMS Wayne "Duke" Smith and FBI HRT Commander Richard Rogers in drawing up the Ruby Ridge Rules of Engagement on August 21–22, 1992. Also, in spite of Richard Weiss's repeated denials that shots had been fired at his helicopter, U.S. Attorney Ron Howen would charge that, as Overt Act 32 of the Weaver's Conspiracy Against the Federal Government, Randy, Vicki and Harris fired two shots at the Rivera helicopter.[11][page needed] Operation "Northern Exposure" was suspended for three months due to the confirmation hearings for United States Marshals Service Director Henry E. Hudson.[31] The Weavers report having noticed the lack of USMS activity, and began to believe the USMS had dropped the case. |

About 10-12 years ago I got to meet Randy Weaver at a OGCA show. Got to meet the navigator of the Enola Gay at the same show. Patriots and heroes, both.

PBS has done shows on OKC, the Univ. of Texas tower shooter, now this. Is this stuff they had in the can and were going to help Hillary in the new war on gun owners?
Odd that they would be showing this stuff now unless they are trying to link right-wing gun-owning white supremacist to trump voters. |

It was last 9/11 or the anniversary the year before that Nat Geo ran a series about Mcveigh, Unibomber, and I think Rudolph a day or so after Sept 11. |

Pretty sure he retired from .gov in 2006 and was hired by HSP in 2008. That was almost 10 years ago. Surely he's on to a more relaxing existence nowadays at age 62. I'll have to try to DVR this one too.
Did they gloss over Bo Gritz in this one like they did in the OKC episode? |
|
Missed the first 15 minutes, so DVR is set for next showing, thanks OP.
I read the book from Jerry Spence about Ruby Ridge, he eviserated the .gov witnesses on the stand. |

Saw it. Lots of propaganda and the end was weapons grade derp. "They wanted it to happen!"
The powers that shouldn't be are doing a full court press right now. But American experience had always been a propaganda front. Their episode about the Rockefeller's was truly cringeworthy. "Yes the Rockefeller family are a pack of psychotic tightwads, but they weren't bad people." And "scene missing." |

Odd considering the 2017 trademark. Didn't Gritz die in 2007 or so? Hmm, according to Wikipedia he is still alive. Double hmmmm, from Wiki. the following is based largely on photographs of Lieutenant Colonel Gritz in which he is wearing military awards and can not be independently verified[31]. |

Janet Reno was quite possibly the biggest POS ever to hold Govt. office. SHE is the one who should have gone to jail. I remember the stunt she pulled with that security guard who turned out to be a hero with that park bombing. She leaked out the information about him to her media mutts who made the guy look guilty when in fact he was a hero who cleared out a bunch of people and it was that Rudolph guy who planted the bomb. First she sicced her mutts and ex-employers, on him to try and get him to confess, tricking him during an interrogation. Reno and her FBI dogs ruined this guys life and he turned out to be the god damn Hero of the entire thing!
Jewell sued NBC News for this statement, made by Tom Brokaw: "The speculation is that the FBI is close to making the case. They probably have enough to arrest him right now, probably enough to prosecute him, but you always want to have enough to convict him as well. There are still some holes in this case".[17] Even though NBC stood by its story, the network agreed to pay Jewell $500,000. On July 23, 1997, Jewell sued The New York Post for $15 million in damages, contending that the paper portrayed him in articles, photographs and an editorial cartoon as an "aberrant" person with a "bizarre employment history" who was probably guilty of the bombing.[18] He eventually settled with the newspaper for an undisclosed amount. Jewell filed suit against his former employer Piedmont College, Piedmont College President Raymond Cleere and college spokesman Scott Rawles.[14] Jewell's attorneys contended that Cleere called the FBI and spoke to the Atlanta newspapers, providing them with false information on Jewell and his employment there as a security guard. Jewell's lawsuit accused Cleere of describing Jewell as a "badge-wearing zealot" who "would write epic police reports for minor infractions."[13] Piedmont College settled for an undisclosed amount. In effect she was the perfect AG for a clown act like the Klintons. A dishonest Liar drunk on power who thought she could get away with anything. Its the Janet Reno's in this world thats the reason I never want to see martial Law for anything, most of all just cause a bunch of gangsters are killing each other. I dont care who is President Govt. shouldnt be entrusted with that much power and if you give it to them once they will want it again. |
