Dad's was what my grandmother always had when I was at her house. That was a long time ago.

No idea but this stuff should be the official Arfcom rootbeer. https://www.AR15.Com/media/mediaFiles/175941/l-110139.JPG View Quote |

Alway's a fan of Dad's, going back to visiting my grandparents!

Used to love to mix 1/2 bottle Root Beer with 1/2 bottle Cream Soda. Kinda like a root beer ice cream float.
|
|
I like the frosty the best of those four.
Our local growler filling station has some good local root beers in from time to time that outshine anything I've bought in a bottle. |
|
Sprecher and Weinhards are my two favorite mass produced root beers.

Around here it's Barqs, IBC, a&w or Mug.
That's bout all you can find. I prefer Barqs |

Saw Frosties and had to buy it as it was my favorite as a kid, but it did not live up to my memories. Im guessing the name has been purchased and the formula changed. Was never a real fan of Dads and never heard of the other two before.
Ive seen Sprecher but not tried it yet. I do like IBC and will also drink A&W or Mug at times. |

Root beer from the original Stewart's on 5th Ave.
Not the same company that sells by that name in the grocery store. |

I rarely drink soda and very seldom eat ice cream. With that being said, Barq's root beer with Blue Bell Vanilla ice cream makes the best goddamn root beer float known to man. It's not debatable. It's science.
If you have an alternative opinion, by all means, please share it. Just consider the following advice: Shutting out opposing opinions due to exposure to root beer floats is not healthy. Your opinion is valued and appreciated. Whoreable floats are not possible. Even with the lowest grade root beer and ice cream, the result will still be positive. Mouth shape of the bottle is indicative of the era in which the recipe was born. Narrow represents modern brews, while wider ones tend to favor older recipes. |

Sprechers for the win. I found it at Menard's Home Improvement stores of all places.

I've had Dad's, but not the other three. My bet is that Bulldog has the best flavor of the four.
I personally like the draft root beer at Airport Pizza in Nome, AK. I wish I could remember what brewery it was from. |

Can't claim to be up on the latest root beer brands, but Virgil's and Natural Brews are some tasty stuff.

Best mass produced Root Beer I've ever had was Sudz Root Beer from Aldi.
