I had to start a whole new topic to make sure that people do not get bad information. The_Macallan stated that Rob Paul voted for the Campaign Finance Reform Act(aka the Incumbent Protection Act). He did NOT! Here is the roll call for that bill: http://clerkweb.house.gov/cgi-bin/vote.exe?year=2002&rollnumber=34 He is in the 2nd list of Reps, and that is the Noes votes. The heading is for the section ABOVE, not BELOW! Just look at the "Not Voting". It says 6, and above it are the six who didn't vote. I got confused when I first saw it too. I thought my rep voted for it, after he said he wouldn't, and I almost flew of the handle. Luckily I checked again to be sure, and I'm glad I did. I am a big fan of Ron Paul, and I don't want to see him being slandered(accidently it seems).

BTT Thanks libertyof76 for creating a new thread - I'd hate to see my correction buried on pg 3 of a fading thread. For those who missed it, here is my "errata": ------------------------------------------------ [red]MEA CULPA!!![/red][>:/] [red]MEA CULPA!!![/red][B)] [red]MEA CULPA!!![/red][BD] You're right - he voted against this one. I got this bill mixed up with an even more ATROCIOUS bill that Ron Paul DID vote for... Amnesty for Illegal Aliens. Again, I'm sorry to anyone who I mistakenly misled. ------------------------------------------------
