Sorry, just the way it is
Accept it: "Gib' auf, du hast keine Chance! Lass' es uns beenden! Es ist einfacher für dich, viel einfacher. Du wirst sehen, es ist gleich vorbei." |

Agreed, but they'll never stop crapping on every single political thread.

While people have a right to support him and his campaign, this is the truth.
Statistics, polls, history, and common sense back this up. It's very simple to understand yet so many can't grasp it. |

I like RP, and I agree, he will never be president. TPTB would never allow someone who is capable of disassembling the Fed to be President. I don't see a need to waste Ed's disk space with a simpleton thread like this though. |

he wins every day at freedom, but you are probably right, he wont win...America votes for the best looking candidate
I am surrounded by idiots |

well neither will you. so there and double there. :p I have a better chance than him...................and I was born in the UK |

They are taking a "scorched earth" approach to it. If their beloved candidate can't make it, NOBODY WILL. Hence, why they are attacking the shit out of Perry.

I'll probably vote for him(Paul) in the primary not because Iam a huge fan but because he is not latest conservative soap star being slobbered over and he's not saying all the right things about jaysus and geyuns complete with photo ops. I hate fake fucking politicians and ron Paul is not fake.

It's not about his (lack of) charisma, and while the man has some generally good and intelligent ideas about domestic issues, he goes full fucking retard when it comes to actual participation on the world stage. And it's not about little quirks or eccentricities, it's about REALLY IMPORTANT FUCKING SHIT. I'd say keep him close and appoint him to important committees, but we've done that - he's been one big pussy and a no-show when it comes to actually DOING something as a committee chair. End the FED? PLEASE DO, RON. *chirp, crickets, chirp* |

End the FED? PLEASE DO, RON. *chirp, crickets, chirp* Because he can do that unilaterally? Since when? He has been wildly successful in drawing attention to the issue and educating people on the follies and dangers of the Fed. He authored legislation in order to conduct an audit of the Fed, which is constantly gaining support. I don't see how that particular argument against him has any merit. |

I have no problem with Ron Paul, and would vote for him if it came down to him vs. Obama. But his followers make me want to punch babies.

"Ron Paul Will Never Be POTUS"
Irrelevant, what matter is that Ron Paul's ideas are starting to resonate with more and more voters and people are starting to wake up are realizing that the status qua path of R and D with government expansion and meddling with peoples lives will lead towards disaster. The way the drones of the MSM is trying with all their power to ignore Paul is hilarious in their desperate attempt to keep the truth that the US will default on it's current path and the military will be slashed because no one wants to give up their entitlements or be smart about foreign entanglements. http://www.thedailyshow.com/watch/mon-august-15-2011/indecision-2012––-corn-polled-edition––-ron-paul––-the-top-tier For the record I can't stand John socialist Stewart but in this telling Ironically if the US is to remain an autonomous super power with a poweful military it will need the ideas of Ron Paul, history shows that most empires will fall not in battle but in economic failure in one way or another. |

Never.
Hate to sound like a broken record, I like the guy but his ideas on foreign policy earn him the straight jacket reputation.

In some regards yes, the stand on Iran is one of them but the overall deployment and exposure is unsustainable |

I can't agree with that. |

I'm more inclined to lament the fact that Johnson can't win. Johnson has somewhat similar ideas, but he also has a solid resume with high level leadership on it, along with actual success in that leadership. RP is just a representative with no significant executive experience.

I am not a Ron Paul supporter but people need to realize that things has changed greatly within the GOP since Obama got elected. There are now two dominate wings within the GOP, conservative and libertarian. Afrcom general board is somewhat a reflection of what is happening within the GOP. Not many people know that there is a truce between these two wings on social issues. The infighting in the GOP are limited because of this but spilled out on boards like Arfcom. However once the Republican take over the Senate and White House in 2012 there will be a lot of bloodletting in the Republican party to see who lead the country. In a way Ron Paul is like Reagan. Reagan and the conservative movement in that era was considered fringe, hence unelectable. Not until the very late 70's did the conservative in the GOP had enough power to make changes to the party. Reagan was an outsider within the GOP but a benefactor of the conservative movement. This is what is happening right now in the GOP. It's like history is repeating itself. To say Ron Paul doesn't have a chance is silly. He been flooding the GOP with young libertarian. He knows like Reagan before him that whoever wins the GOP nomination will win POTUS. The general election really have no meaning other than to make it official and if the Republicans will get a super majority for the first time in the Senate or not. The GOP will control all three branch of government in 2012, SC, WH, and Congress. Republican will probably the majority of state governments. |
