I have turned off the purchase spigot, wallet closed now for 6 months and counting.  I have everything I need (or want edit made to appease those who do not like the word need), no ban emergency looming, stopped buying. I can't be the only one.

Salad Days stack it deep folks you are welcome

It's a buyers market. I'm still buying what I can afford and a little bit that I can't.

I thought I was done but found a sweet deal on a para expert carry a few weeks back. At $250 I couldn't say no.

I haven't bought much either, only because I'm waiting to see how low prices will go and then buying.

I probably went 6 months before buying some more 12ga.

I took a break due to needing to spend money on other things, but have been getting back into it.

I agree with the guy above, it's a buyer market right now, might as well get everything you want while it's cheap. Things will probably get a little cheaper over the next year or two, but I doubt we're going to see much cheaper than this.

Nope, now that I have 87 AR's with triple redundant replacement parts I feel like it's time to round out the rest of my collection

I hate packing crap up so I'm trying not to buy more stuff.

It should be interesting moving the ammo fort.

I hear you OP. I'm done until we end up with $250 ARs, .15/rnd M193, and the HPA passes.

It's match season. I loaded like 10k rounds of various this winter but I am not sure that is going to last me til next winter lol. Might need to buy moar components.

I'm not buying stuff just to hoard anymore, though

If the HPA passes the wallet would definitely open back up. I already have F1/F4 stuff, HPA would be a whole new level.

A way around it is to clean out your junk bin and then part out a rifle.  Spigot reopened!

Ya know....right now is starting to be a good time to be buying.....its a buyers market.

I bought a little before the election but Id been buying deals on mags and such for all of obama's term.  I feel like I have a lifetime supply of mags, so now Im just waiting for the price on some guns I passed over for mags and other ban targeted things to come down.

I really want a 357 revolver and right now I feel good about buying one because I'm not worried that my future purchases will be limited for at least 3.5 more years.  If I was worried about bans, Id be buying things I thought were likely ban targets instead of a revolver which IMHO would be the last handgun type banned if banning happened.

I bought and tricked out a Scorpion Evo... and then spent a bunch of money on a semi-restored K5 Blazer.

The Blazer has sucked up all my disposable income since then.

Im kind of holding out on ammo thats around 0.20 cpr and suppressors.

When the HPA passes, ill be in for 3 5.56, 2 9mm, and a .22lr for suppressors.

I dont NFA though.  Paying a tax to exercise a right is incredibly offensive to me, so I wont do it.

I think Trump will stand a chance for reelection.  Incumbants tend to do well, and Trump already showed people that he can overcome odds against him.  I also think that when people look at what he actually did, they will be much more on board as long as they can get over their angst that his election was a sign that the religious right's dominance of the GOP is over.

My wife told me I couldn't buy any more firearms....

So I bought a jig and 80% lowers...because those aren't firearms.....yet.

And yes, though I will make them so, I did not purchase firearms.

I bought a thread adapter for my msar about 4 years ago.
Nothing spent on gun stuff since.
Put together 1 ar last summer plus gave away parts for another.

Did buy 6000 rounds of .22 lr last month.  I do shoot a lot.  Nothing Glock or AR related since election day.  Last 8 years have been a buying orgy of Glock, AR, 5.56 and 9mm related items.  I got mags and parts everywhere.

A 3 1/2 inch birdshead Ruger Vaquero in .45 ACP will be my next purchase.

I've been tempted a few times, but refrained.  I just can't justify spending money on guns and ammo because I just don't use them.

I've got 2 AR's in the safe right now that I've never even fired.  One of them has a scope mounted for the last 2 years that's never been sighted in.  I think of that when I see that next great gun related deal.

However, I'd break that trend if I those Garands rumored to be hitting the US market again start popping up.  Or if AK prices would hit sane levels.

Mostly stopped buying here. Pick up ammo from time to time. I have what I need. Sure, I'd like this or that, but theres too much salt on my money to go buy firearm #6 when the previous 5 are "the same thing".

I have my go to AR which I like to shoot. I have a 6.5 Grendel I just need to put together for long range and hunting. A Sig and Glock for pistols. Few other odds and ends. If I didnt sweat so much for my money I might be more willing to spend it. Not that I care about the money you see, but all the salt on it from my sweat......I dont want to give that salt away.

Aside from ammo and maybe mags if I get a deal, I'm taking a break from buying gun stuff.

I think.
