I hopes you gots 4 wheel drive this time of year. I don't know about gun shops along the way...but I know lots of cool gin joints.

Nothing really on the western side of Colorado unless you want to do some long range shooting.

Take AT LEAST 2 full days to drive there. Get good sleep.
After Salina, UT it is over 100 miles to the next gas station (in Green River, UT). Take your picture in Rifle, CO. Or, it's 90 miles shorter to go I-40 out to Tucumcari, then Us-54 up to Kansas. The weather can sometimes be better, too. Then again, AZ and NM get plenty of ice and snow along I-40 in the winter. Take your picture in Two Guns, AZ |

You're welcome anytime. I'll have my new cabin hauled up there this year. Thanks to the 15,000 acres of BLM north of my place, I have a 2500yd range. Be sure to bring a bolt gun. BTW, Lions are thick, and tags are $10 for 2 over the counter.

Did you head back already?
I just got back from a NW KS to SE UT and back trip via I-70. Found a nice resteraunt in Moab UT. Its called the Sunset Grill "place on the hill" Real nice place and the filet was excellent. BTW the Owner is a Gun guy, told us all about his 4 new AR's. I dont know if he is on here but he seemed like a good guy. |
