I'm gonna make the 24 intro ticking sound as my phone ringer.
Does anybody know where I can get some good software to customize my phone? It's an LG LX5450 (I think) and my dad lost the CD to it but still had the cable. I don't wanna pay 35 freaking dollars to change the ringer and put a custom wallpaper on it. |

I'm waiting for someone to either record gunshots as their ring tone, or maybe lift the audio from the shootout in "Heat" as their ring tone..
Just imagine the looks you'd get if your phone rang while you were in the airport |

Damn U.S. Cellular... locked the blutooth function on my phone so I can't do Pc to Phone file transfers
How do you make ringtones? I want to make the Charlie Brown theme song my ringtone.
I'm not sure how to make ringtones as seen above, I just use MP3 sound clips, my phone can use them as ringtones. So I guess it kinda depends on what phone you have . |
They are just mp3 sound clips downgraded to a specific bitrate or what ever your phone is set up for. what kind of phone .. I have the charlie brown theme and can do it but how would you get it to your phone ? I use a usb but I have a razr so its pretty easy |
I have the ATF one.
"This is the ATF! We have a search warrant for your house! We need you to vacate right now! This it the A.T.F.!!!" I'm just conditioning myself for when it really happens |
Make me a really wet fart one... I want something I can sneak onto a friends phone and set off during his speech in com101.

Verizon did the same to my Motorola E815, but a little hacking and I can now synch and file-transfer via Bluetooth while my phone is still on my belt holster. Verizon can KMA if they think I'm going to pay them for their crappy downloads via GetItNow. -Troy |

I got the family guy doin Rock Lobster and Kenny Rogers Gambler
Mine's a V710. I believe there is a hack available for it as well but you need to get the ~$60 cable, I think. |
OK, here is how you get ringtones onto your V710: You must have Pix & TXT package Get an MP3 file (must be less than 200K, 150-180K for best results) Change the xxx.MP3 to xxx.MID (do not convert the file just edit the extension) Attach the file to an e-mail and mail it to your phone if it is a Verizon phone send the file to [your cell number]@vzpix.com The file will now be on your phone play it and then you can set it to be the ring tone. Is this a PITA yes but you don't need to hack the phone or buy a $60 cable. |
It's U.S. Cellular. That might work but if it means I have to buy the pix package, no thanks. If I hack the phone, I can transfer all my pix/files to and from my phone via bluetooth....the way it was meant to be done. It's very irritating that a phone company would disable phone functionality |
You would do it but YOU DON'T HAVE TIME!!! |
Where can one find this Blue Tooth hack? |
I want the "This is Jim Rockford - leave a message" ring tone.
Anybody have that? |
WE'RE OUT OF TIME! IF MY PHONE DOES NOT RING WITH THE 24 TICKING THEME RIGHT NOW, ONE MILLION PEOPLE WILL DIE! I found time last night after watching 24! It took a LOT of searching to find the correct COM port driver for my phone since BITPIM does not communicate directly with USB ports. So, I had to find a USB to COM driver, and finally got BITPIM to find the phone. I then started fiddling around and uploaded the 24 Theme.mp3 I made and it works beautifully. I can upload/download backgrounds and music and stuff too! I'll be messing around with it some more tonight. I'll post the 24 theme when I get home tonight. I think I'm gonna make the Alien in my avatar my background. Now if only I had the programming skills to make the phone do an announcement from Jack Bauer saying "The following takes place between 9:00 AM and 10:00 AM." Thanks for the BITPIM link DV8! |

I have a motorola v180 it has a USB, I tried to hook it to my computer, but i need some kind of software to be able to transfer stuff to it i guess. |
Use MOtorolo phone tools, or mobile phone tools . ( I found it on .torrent ) |
I just tried downloading it from limewire and its full of viruses.
The V710 doesn't have the Bluetooth "ObEx" (object exchange) profile, so it can't synch via Bluetooth, but it CAN synch via USB cable using Motorola Phone Tools (IM for link). I have a spare USB cable I could let go for *cheap*. IM me if you are interested (or if you need any question answered). -Troy |
