Frankly, I have never understood why we divide the political spectrum into the Right Wing and the Left Wing, and always say that Hitler was the penultimate Right Winger, and Josef Stalin was the penultimate Left Winger.
It's just a holdover from the French Estates General of Revolutionary France, that divided the parties that way.
The only difference between Hitler and Stalin was that Hitler was a National Socialist and Stalin was an International Socialist! Even that's not quite true since Stalin was in practice a very 'Nationalistic' Socialist! It was only in theory that he was anything other than a continuation of the typical Russian nationalist!
The political spectrum should be divided between the Totalitarians (with Hitler and Stalin together) on the one side, and the pure Anarchists on the opposite side.
If we do this, then all political arguments begin to make much more sense!
In the center of the spectrum you will find the Constitutionalist Republicans. They are the ones least likely to cause violent disturbances!
