Fox News:

Texas Gov. Rick Perry will make "a definitive announcement that he is in the 2012 race for the presidency Saturday," aides told Fox News. The language is significant. For several days the Perry camp has said he would signal his intentions and announce later. "This is it," the sources explain. No exploratory committee, no more deliberation. Perry will spend most of next week on the road officially campaigning. Team Perry acknowledges they had only been hinting about a run earlier, but now tells Fox News first that Saturday is the official launch.

So, he's making an announcement that he will make an announcement that he will run?
Didn't he just announce that he's running by doing that?

Based just on the little I've heard about him, he's one of the few Texans I'd support

Now get Katy to be his VP, and clad her scantily, and I'd even volunteer for their campaign!

He doesn't even have to open his mouth. He has my vote. And with that ladies and gents, I get to skip the next round of electioneering and shit slinging for the next year and a half.

Lets try to keep things in perspective. Your options will be Obama or Perry. Do the right thing.

Realistically, if it was to be Romney up, I wouldn't vote. I'm not a Perry fan but Perry is pretty much where my line is at for voting for someone. In other words; he's just barely conservative enough to get my vote.

This is the guy who went to Mexico and told the people there (in Spanish), that the children of illegal aliens deserve college tuition paid for by the citizens of Texas. Then he said "si se puede"

Think we can keep Kay Bailey Hutchison out?  That move baffles me anyway.  As a Senator she has some power.  As a Governor of Texas, not so much.  All it does it make he part of a more exclusive club of 50 rather than in her current club of 100.
