So where was the kill? |

I'm guessing he meant when did the buffalo actually die, it seemed to still be alive through the duration of that clip.

That Cape took a lot more punishment than I expected him stand up to.
|
|
Wow, that buffalo got proper fucked.
Also, gotta hand it to the camera-person for NOT shaking the camera all over the place and losing the shot ever few seconds like people normally do. |
|
Looks like it got impaled in the ribs a couple of times, but that is impressive since those capes from what I have heard laugh at most big game rounds just short of shoulder fired howitzers.

The first three rounds definitely went to the Rhino. Geez, it looked like a heavyweight vs. middleweight bout.
Then, everybody went home. |

I'd love to know the size of that rhino, it looked freakin' huge. Interesting too, was how the other buffaloes were more than happy to stay out of his way, even though they vastly outnumbered him. Also, if there had been a way to record the close-up sounds of that battle, it would have been incredible. Thanks for posting that.

Stange that the other Cape Buffalos didn't help him out. Instead, they helped the Rhino
|
|
Like Kenny Rogers said - know when to walk away and know when to run. Stupid buff did neither.

Looked like the buffalo's homies kicked his ass for losing. Reminder to NEVER mess with a rhino.

That buffalo was way out of his league. The first few punctures would likely have proven fatal, especially those through the ribs.
The Buffalo is considered one of the most dangerous and aggressive animals in the continental U.S. Just goes to show how nasty the shit in Africa really is. Remind me not to ever fuck with a Rhino. |
|
There have been reports of pissed off rhinos knocking train cars off the tracks. They're the 2nd largest land mammals around, and big ones can tip the scales at 7000 lbs.
a big buff is 2000 or a bit more. |

Quoted:
Crazy! The rhino didn't even break a sweat. I think he could have literally killed the entire herd if he didn't get tired first. |
|
I don't understand why they would fight. One wouldn't eat the other. They are not males of the species who are fighting over a female. I wonder what got into them?

The cape buffalo's battle buddies weren't much help. His buds must be liberals. |

As a guide once told me, sometimes, rhinos just get pissed off. Capes are big animals, but the rhino isn't even playing in the same league. |
|
I've heard that cape buffalo are too stubborn to die and rhino's are too mean to quit.
|

Quoted: Rhino vs Hippo .... who wins? ooooooooooh.......that is a VERY good question.... |

Rhino vs Hippo .... who wins? According to the various videos on YouTube, it appears even the mighty rhino backs off when confronted by a hippo. |

What Buffalo are here in the U.S.? My understanding is that they are all in the Eastern Hempisphere. |

In before the "2 is 1 - 1 is none" , crowd
Rhino did pretty good with ONE |

Seems that in a rock/paper/scissors sort of analysis, one long horn in the center beats two short curled ones on the sides. Plus rhino has thick plated skin. Not even a close match.

What a fascinating question. I think they both have a habit of not backing down. They both have a habit of striking with their weapons. And they both can get enraged. They just connected like two magnets.

That buffalo was a littling, just check ol big boy at around 3:45-4:00. Some times the two biggest kids on the block are gona fight.

That appeared to be a male group of cape's, away from the main herd. Might be the rut and the cape's were fighting to settle mating rights when the rhino walked in. One cape thought he would show off to his buddies... Or...that is a white rhino. |
|
Cape buffalo v. rhino? That's like bringing a knife to a gunfight.
|
|
Check out the actual description on YouTube.. the Buffalo died hours later. It's left eye was missing.
|

Robert Ruark one commented the following about Cape Buffalo " he looks at you like you owe him money"
Looks like the debt collecter was a bad ass. I'm surprised that the other buffs didnt get involved and gang rape the Rhino. |
