GOP Super Committee

I searched. Didn't see this yet.

What do we know about these guys?

From Senate:
"Jon Kyl of Arizona, the GOP whip and member of the Finance Committee;
Pat Toomey of Pennsylvania, who was elected last November and served as president of the fiscally conservative Club For Growth;
Rob Portman of Ohio, also a freshman and the former budget director under"

From House:
Jeb Hensarling of Texas, the fourth-ranking Republican;
Dave Camp of Michigan, chairman of the powerful Ways and Means Committee;
and Fred Upton, also of Michigan, who chairs the Energy and Commerce Committee.

No opinions?

I don't know much about anyone listed.

I've got an opinion alright.  The Founders would put the SuperCongress at the head of the line in the list of grievances if they were to write the Declaration of Independence today.  Let's impeach everyone who takes part.

Ryan says he asked to be left off, as he is busy with the budget committee.

This.

Don't see "Super Congress" in the constitution anywhere.

IIRC, Zero is the tie breaking vote.

Well, at least that shit dick John McCain wasn't included.

Who among those critters identifies himself with the Tea Party?  Not knowing anything about them I'm afraid we have a group of old-timers who will recommend "cuts" in the RATE OF GROWTH of the government and call it a victory for the taxpayer.

I'm too cynical for this...

Kyl is very good on fiscal issues. I don't agree with everything he's said and every vote he's made, but it's hard to argue with him on this stuff.  He's also not running again and he's something of a hardass.
