And get a lawyer to repeal the unconstitutional bans on Machine guns and importing "Assault Weapons". Would this work or do you have to break the law to be able to get something in front of the supreme court. I would be willing to donate some money towards this how bout you?




BTW: Because of so many people recommending the book Unintended Consiquences (I am on page 152) This gave me the idea.

We already have several of those. They're called the NRA, GOA, JPFO and there are a bunch of others.

Even if everone on this site kicked in $5 we would only have $375,000. Hell the NRA has a hard time holding ground and as of late some victorys. I do like the way you think though.

I understand this though. I am a member of the NRA also but I understand they can only do so much. I know they pick their fights also. I am willing to throw my money away because I want to see the outcome, I want to see how far this will go.

I think the whole point here is that the orgs want to see a more gun-freindly panel of SCOTUS judges before they make the financial commitment to back (what would become) a high-profile case.

When an amendment does what this amendment prohibits. That is how.

Read the 9th amendment.



Sorry, but another amendment can override the 9th amendment..
Just like the 18th Amendment was repealed by the 21st Amendment.
The following amendment overrides the preceeding amendment, where applicable.

We could pass another amendment denying a specific group specific rights.

ETA:  I must admit that the only time I've heard "unconstitutional amendment" was when Louisiana passed its own amendment prohibiting gay marriage or civil unions.  An appeals judge said that the amendment was "unconstitutional" because it violated the LA constitution by addressing two separate topics:  marriange and civil unions.  Go figure.

However, he was addressing the way an item was drafted and passed, not the specific content or the right of the state to address that content.
