Just got some updated pics from a friend who HAD to have this boat bed. For a total cost of $1300 for the bed. She makes me sick.

I blacked out his name for privacy.

No way I would ever pay that much for a bed.

I'll give my kid a choice; bed, etc or AR, Ultra mag, etc.

No way I would buy it, but to each his own. I do think some people have more money than sense.

It's cute, but I would never pay that much for a bed, especially one he will outgrow in no time.

I could have got it for less then $800

seriously though, it really amazes me that PB and its sister stores can charge so much for stuff and people buy it.

it looks pretty I guess.. besides giving the child somewhere to sleep.

Yeah I know to each his own, but man I could think of alot of other things to spend that much money on. Food for the Ar's for example

Yes. Absolutely. For a boat bed that doesn't do anything, I'd file that under "didn't get an M4 'cause the kid's spoiled" category.

Yikes...

For a mere $16,000 your kids may also have their own recreational vehicle! But don't forget the little rascals need something to tow it with!

This gas-powered off-roader is perfect for Junior, and an absolute steal at $24,995!

My god. Who buys this stuff?

The same type of people I deal with everyday

Rich people who view shopping as a recreational sport and want to be as trendy as possible.

Hey I see nothing wrong with that bed...
that is assuming you can also sail it in the ocean. Otherwise....

My inner child is green with envy. Why couldn't I have had rich trendy parents to buy me my own RV?

I would buy a X-Wing bed if they made one.

Jesus Christ. Just toss a mattress in a canoe and call it a bed. Buy it used in the trader and save even more money.

$1300 for a boat bed that does not even float. That marriage is doomed. The kid may be too?

The kid is for sure doomed.

The way to make a fortune: Find out what people with money want, and sell it to them.

I got my daughter a regular twin size bed with neon colored, floral bedding. Instead of going with a canopy bed ( I was worried in a few years she would thing it was dorky) I got her a big neon green leaf that attaches to the wall over the bed (it is a canopy). It looks really cute, she loves it, and it cost around $20. When she thinks it is dorky, it is easy to take down, and I won't feel like I've wasted a bunch of money. I am not an economical diva, she has had things that I later thought I should never have spent so much on, but I try to be sensible. The boat is cute, but I would like to see what the kid will think when he is a few years older.

I definately would not spend that much on a bed for a kid. Especially when he is going to outgrow it. Got to love it more money than brains.

Well said. I never did say, but the child is 1 1/2. Same as my lilGH, but trust me, he doesn't have a bed that nice. He sleeps on a toddler bed someone bought for us at a yardsale. (our mattress of course, I didn't use the one that came with it.) I know this won't last him long, but it does the trick for now, and when he outgrows it, no money lost since it was fairly inexpensive to begin with.
