The correct answer is 'Not perfect, but a hell of a lot better than John Kerry'.

Second only to Reagan? The Kool-Aid is an especially strong batch.

I think you be hard-pressed to find someone fonder of W than Reagan. And certainly Bush isn't the greatest. The best anyone can realistically expect him to be, for conservative kool-aide drinkers like myself, is second to Reagan.

Almost 26,000 posts, and yet he still used 5 poll options? Must be the oldest n00b on the boards...

At what phase of President Reagan's Alzheimers? He/Nancy wrote the "sunset of my life" letter in November 1994. Fond like of a puppy? Maybe.

W cannot hold a candle to Ronald Reagan. Ron took a bullet and stood behind the Second Amendment. Ron "beat" the Soviets using a big stick and bigger smile. Look how Gorby responded to Ron. If only we could have seen what Ron could have done with a Republican majority in both houses of Congress!?

Good luck with that, dude. The Democrats are backing away from you because they think you're bad for elections.

You're good for donations, though. So keep giving money to people who have no real respect for you.

He accomplished the one thing that I voted for him for. He got 2 converstives on the Supreme Court. It's not forever, but it is for a very long time.

Myybe. But lots of justices who were supposed to be "conservatives" when they were appointed drifted to the left once on the court.

I voted for GW twice, gave more money to his campaign that I have ever donated before, was thrilled with his first 2 years in office, but to put it mildly I am extreamly disappointed and pretty pissed with his last 4 years. I am ready for him to be out of office and some else to be President.

I don't think that Andrew Johnson would agree that he was a Republican. He was a Democrat who ran for VP in 1864 on the "National Union" ticket (the Republicans changed their name for the 1864 election to accomodate Democrats who supported Lincoln). He didn't identify himself as either a Republican or a Democrat while he was President, but when he ran in 1868, he ran as a Democrat.

+1. you know your history.

Also, he served as a strict Constitutionalist. And he gets continually bad-mouthed to this day because of it.
