Does anyone know what the deal is with the pattern above and below the logo?

Or do I just have too much time on my hands?

It looks really convincing with the pic but the basic lines and zig/zags of the upper portion really don't match up

Sigh.
From left you right, you have: tail, ears, nose (down to the right)

It looks more like some kind of dog, but how many people have actually seen a wolverine?

Link Posted: 10/13/2004 1:41:28 PM EDT
realistically.. i highly doubt that the artistic value would be of importance in that sort of situation
Link Posted: 10/13/2004 6:41:49 PM EDT
Artistic value is important. It's all part of leaving a distinctive mark. As a logo, it's execution as an image is equally important as the content.

Looks to me like the outline of "freedom rock" or "patriot rock" (can't remember the name) at the end of the movie.

ETA: Sorry, it's PARTISAN Rock.

I thought the same thing when I first saw it. But for some reason that looks like destinctive eyeball in that logo.

Man, I still love that movie. My wife hates it. Go figure

Say that to it's face.

It's OK if it doesn't look exactly like a wolverine - it's art.

From what I understand, you don't really want to see one in person in the wild. They are pretty mean critters with nasty teeth and claws.

As I understand it they are by far the most ferocious animals on the planet. If they were the size of bears we would probably be in real trouble.

Hey , I got an idea! Why don't you guys that can't see the "Wolverine" in the message, make a movie about the Russians invading us and call yourself the "Bears" or maybe the "Mountain Lions" or some other predatory animal that lives in North America. Anyway, you then get to spray paint your animal remembering that it was supposed to tell all the BG around who did it and they didn't have airbrushes and 5 years of art collage. Oh and for accuracies sake they wouldn't have stayed too long thinking that 20 YEARS LATER , people will be saying "What are the lines supposed to be around the name?" The movie is 20 years old folks ,why does it matter if you can't tell what those lines are around the word"Wolverines". They aren't going to go back in time and change it. Unbelievable......

Actually they could, but they would have to encase the spray paint cans in living tissue. As I understand it non-organic matter won't go through.

Ya know, wolverine is a really cool sounding name for an animal that looks like a cross between a big rat and a skunk.

I saw a nature program a few years ago in which a wolverine had treed a man...and that man had a gun.
They'll also run off full grown bears. Teeth, claws, and whole big bunches of attitude.
