"My My Hey Hey" or whatever that nonsense is just played.

He can't pick a register in which to sing, he's flat through the ENTIRE song, he sounds like a scared fifteen-year-old on stage at a high school talent show.

The backup instrumentals are fine, but the man CANNOT SING.

There.

Neil cannot sing to save his life, but somehow I still enjoy his music.

I like neil Young.

"Heart of Gold" is a good one.

If you smoke as much dope as the man does, you'd think he's a genius, too.

He kind of sounds like Adam Sandler would if he really tried to sing a non-comedy song.

This being said, sometimes it sounds appropriate for the song...

That one's just as bad.

He has a lot of mental illness in his family and, as I understand, his kids are certifiable nuts. (Take a little mental illness and add a WHOLE LOT OF DRUGS to you sperm and see what it gets.)

ANYWHO, I'd chip in to buy him another 5 strings for his guitar, (how he's made it this far by banging on only one string still amazes me), and then maybe some money for music lessons. Most of his followers were ABN's (anybody-but-nixon)

I think Dylan taught him...

At least Neil Young sings, he isn't like all these neo-popstar people who lipsynch everything because they're too busy dancing around stage like frogs in a dynamite pond (okay, I stole that from Hunter Thompson, but it makes me laugh when I hear it).

Say what your want, but his performance not too long ago at a music award show was impressive.

But even Dylan admitted that he did it just for the money and he really hated his fans.

+1 Still don't know why, but I enjoy his music also.

I love Neil.  There's a sincerety in his voice much like a 7 year old.  His guitar playing isn't that of a virtuoso but he's got heart.  His politics...I'm not liking at all, but I've heard that he donates much of his money and time to multiple schlerosis and other diseases.

I hope Neil Young will remember,
a Southern man don't need him around anyhow...

I like some of his songs (for some reason) but I think his guitar skills suck.  His leads are terrible, sometimes I wonder if he's playing in a scale or just hitting random notes.

His brother got busted for a warehouse full of hash a few years back and ole Neil went to say a few words at his sentencing......wasted on heroin.
I think he got ten years.
