Its the sold form of urine , birds and reptiles are both like this. not all reptiles but most..

Birds do not have separate/distinct excretory & reproductive organs. There is one 'exit', and 'bird doo' is 'both #1 & #2'...

In a nut shell, birds don't ave a urinary tract like mammals. The white stuff is their urine. On another note, I always wondered how you culd determine the sex of birds. Well, birds don't have sex organs like mammals either. In a male bird, his "member" is coiled up inside his "vent" aka pooper. Likewise, a female birds sex organ is inside her pooper so birds stuff it in the pooper all the time.

On a related note, I found a little snake in my yard the other day and caught it. My son wanted to hold it so I let him sort of hold it while I held the head, then he shows me his hand and it's all covered in white/clear goop!! At first I'm thinking wtf? I'd never seen snake poop before. Then I told him he must have gotten crapped on.

FYI; hummingbirds pee clear sticky urine, just like the sugar water they drink. Wife and I learned this from their landing in our hands and peeing.

I want to know how a bird can crap/pee on a vertical window??

And why do they only do it on the windows on the seecond floor that I cannot reach to clean?

That white stuff is mostly Ammonia compounds. Its also a way for them to excrete excess sodium and live in salty enviroments. Some will secret it from their eyes. They are quiet amazing actually.

Never tasted it. Not that curious. Just noticed appearance amd texture. Life does get a bit boring when old and retired and living in the middle of nowhere. I've also been peed and pooped on by robins and swallows. High point of the day.
Dumb dog likes to carry a frog around the yard. She wants to bring it in the house.

Haha, Ii have a dog that likes to catch bird and bring them in. One time got a sparrow and ate it on the white carpet.

It is urates. Birds and reptiles pass this as well as normal urine. Urates are the left overs from the processing of protiens in bird and reptile systems.
