So if by some miracle we cut 500 billion from the budget this fiscal year and then balance the budget in five years we'll still be at what, 20 plus trillion dollars in debt? We're screwed.
A flat personal income tax of 17% would be a huge improvement though over our current "half pays, the other half coasts" tax model. |
