I have to say I am.  How many times do we have to go through this?  Some average ordinary dude or rich oppulent guy either gains some power or uses personal tragedy to buy a bunch of toys and training to "fight crime."  God enough!  I can guess the damn plots of all these movies even before I see a preview.  Why don't we go back to making Saving Private Ryan type World War II movies or disaster/Patriotic Alien invasion movies like Independence Day.  I know they do some like Skyline and Independence Day 2: Battle LA.  But comon can't we get better quality movies?  The movies out now are like "McMovies."  Most seem like they're hastily put together now and they just milk titles to death destroying the story lines.  Why is there a 4th Pirates of the Caribbean?  And why are they bothering to make a 4th Spiderman without ANY of the original characters?  Who ever's idea that was should die.

And so on, and so on, and so on......

Not really.

I love the whole Super deal.

I also love how to see how people interpret on screen visions.

Back in the day when the nerds used to gather at comic stores, we spoke of these things.

As opposed to "The Notebook" or "Titanic?"

Grow a pair and embrace superheroes.

I agree, and what's even sadder is the remake of older comic book movies. They think they can do it better than the original.
They make movies based on old television shows, comic books, sequels and remakes. I believe nobody in Hollywood can come up with an original idea, or even a twist on an old idea. It seems like all they can do is re-do other people's work and do a bad job of it.

They can make them if they want to, but I don't see them. Not their demographic.

Yeah, I lost it the other day when a friend sent me a link about Hollywood rebooting Spiderman AGAIN!

Yes, in a way they are.  Good quality action movies or war movies that would otherwise be made are having their funding diverted to these stupid superhero movies or worse, some "ground breaking" movie about historical homos.

They make movies to make money. The younger people like those types of movies so that's what they make.

Thor was the best 3D IMAX movie I have ever seen by 10X.
X-Men first class is the best movie I have seen so far this year and some of the acting was top notch.  Michael Fassbender is going to be an acedamy award winner before his days are through.

Yeah.........some of those movies aren't terribly good (in most people's opinions). But the Ironman movies are good, as was Thor IMO. Captain America looks like its going to be pretty good, so they are doing right on the Marvel side of things. DC Comics seems to be laming out though, Christian Bale makes a pretty good Batman though, The Dark Knight was awesome, I think most will agree.

its unfortunate that hollywood has no creativity anymore.  Ive been seeing less and less movies for 15 years now.  I use to see a movie every weekend, but that has been so long ago,

i doubt they will figure it out.  Hopefully the people in controll will just die off and let someone new in thats has an idea to try.  i get tired of see the copy movies.  once one becomes a hit, then you have the copies roll out.  there are so many books out there that could make a great move, but they dont or arent willing to take a chance.

X-Men was one of the coolest films I've seen in a while. I concur that Fassbender's take on Magneto was epic, and am I the only guy here that really enjoyed what happens to Kevin Bacon at the end?

The more that we feel powerless in our lives the more we fantasize about the power to fix this.  Comic books can explore this feeling for cheap, and when it hits a chord that resonates strong with the current envrion then it is a good bet to make money as a feature film.  And there is a strong nostalgia thing now with us baby boomers/tweeners/gen-xers that make these "comfort films" as much as mac-n-cheese is comfort food.

Hollywood is not only tallent bankrupt but they wouldn't know a good idea if smash their head in with a brick.

They should take the technology behind the Transfomer movies and make a Gundam movie or two.
