Great looking bike. That's awesome
A guy around the corner from me has a real nice RD350, I love to hear him rip down the street. |

My old race bike had 63hp and weighed 255 wet (rd400), and this is pretty close in feel only without the hit( adjustable power valves). ETA: But with the more modern suspension it is a dream, but the RD's aren't bad. |

A reminder to all:

I will probably get a cheetah motor soon. |

I got an erection just looking at it. the 80s when motorcycles were motorcycles and harley was on the ropes. the golden era.

I had a RD 350 and a GT 550 RamAir.
Forgot all about them when I got a brand new Interceptor 500. Then I met a man with a Canadian spec RZ 500. |

The trade off is piston life. My rd428's had a piston life of about 2 hours. Fine for a race bike. I want to ride this all summer and do teardowns in the winter. Back in 2005-6 ish Vito's built a badass banshee for Baja, I built a trx250r for some friends... The banshee smoked their ass for the first 30 miles. My buddies never even changed a spark plug. Guess who won That has to be a wild ride then. My banshee weighs 350ish and makes 85hp on C16. I will probably get a cheetah motor soon. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

Very nice, Kenny Roberts Replica has always been one of the bikes I've wanted. I've had a couple of RD350s and RD400s. Very fun little bikes.

Amazing power, only place I could hookup was in the sand. |

Nice. I had two RZ350s back in 84-85. Great fun, as was my RZ500 I owned a bit later. As you can tell from my handle I like me some Yamaha 2T. I think I've owned 12 or so Yamaha two-strokes. My best memories were made with my TZ250.

I had an old GT 185 and I would wring its neck. No baffles in the pipes which were off of a 2 stroke 250 cc Yamaha. Loud. Af.

Goshdang, OP! That was my first dream bike when I was a kid! Never got one, though. Beautiful bike. I wonder what they're going for now? Wouldn't mind getting one...

Toomey Pipes? Too bad you don't have the seat cowl. Here's my '83 GpZ 550 and my '85 RZ350. http://www.vaq34.com/junk/RZ350_and_GpZ550_together.jpg And the RZ 350 with the cowl on it (and the Lawson Replica Bell M2 helmet). http://www.vaq34.com/junk/joe013.jpg View Quote Do you still have those? I always liked the GPZ550's |

Damn that's beautiful! I wish I hadn't sold mine, also wish I could've brought my NSR back stateside..

Thanks again guys. It doesn't look that much different from a stock one, on purpose but there's a ton of work there.
The front fairing was a Spinner off of a King air I fitted all the suspension components myself and had to make the rear dogbones from scratch to get the ride height. |

I remember sitting on one of those as a youth, new on the showroom floor. Sitting on a Moto Guzzi LeMans made a bigger impact on my tastes in motorcycles, though.

Nice looking RZ! I would love to get one. It's on my list of bikes I need to own.
