On Friday, RNC Chairman Reince Priebus, announced the RNC raised $18.02 million during the first quarter of 2013, 27% less than the $25.2 million in receipts the RNC reported in the first quarter of 2009. Both reports were filed to account for contributions and expenditures in the first full quarter after a Presidential election.

In the first quarter of 2009, Republicans had just lost the White House for the first time in 8 years. The Democrats controlled both the House and the Senate in Congress. President Obama's approval rating was over 60%. The party still managed to raise more money than it did this year in the comparable reporting period.

Breitbart News's review of FEC records showed that the RNC's total receipts for the first quarter of 2013 were $18.3 million, slightly more than the $18.02 million announced by Priebus. Of this $18.3 million, a total of $16.0 million came from individual contributions, with the remaining $2.3 million coming from transfers from related committees and other sources.

Stop giving us guys like McCain and Romney and people making stupid comments that get them steam rolled by the media and actually stand strong consistently for conservative policies and push back against the left instead of constantly being on retreat and maybe, MAYBE I could give some money.  As it is, I vote for them because they defend one our constitutional rights somewhat consistently, if they caved on guns...

Just curious, do you think Romney would be a big improvement over McCain or Huckabee would be electable in the general election?

I see three turds, whatever style primary aside.

won't in 2016.  I am so damn sick of being lied to by people like McCain, Graham

Chambliss etc... that I'm done supporting the party.  I like the idea of giving the

money to 2A organizations instead.

I got the call from them today.

Told him I wasn't likely to be a Republican any more. That I'd had it with the establishment deciding how things would be. How Texas gets the shaft in the primaries and the rnc won't fix it.

He asked for $500.

I laughed out loud and told him that's not going to happen.

Then he asked for $200.

I told him him I wouldn't donate to the rnc any more.

Then he asked if I'd renew for $50.

He was only trying to do his job but he behaved just like the party. Not Listening.

Clowns.

Frankly, I'd rather give my money to the NRA and certain political pacts that promote conservative ideology than directly to the GOP.

I was very unimpressed with their post-election analysis of what went wrong. I feel they have completely ignored 2010 and everything that lead up to it.

I had a RNC volunteer asking for money call me a week ago, (know I shouldn't have given to Romney's campaign.) We had an interesting 10min back and forth call ending in her hanging up on me. Guess she didn't like my ideas on what to do with her fundraising goals.

I was able to get across I might give when the party was a lot closer to me politically.

I laughed too. They called me a few weeks ago. Individual candidates is where my $$ goes. I won't give to a party that gives us Boehner, Rove, immigration, spending and on and on and on....

$$$ is the only way they are going to learn.

They have called me several times for donations and I make their heads explode by telling them basically:

1.  All my donations go to the NRA now because they don't back down, they don't compromise and they do what they say they will do.
2.  The republican party has become so much of a democrat light that if the democraps would go PRO second amendment I might as well vote for them and the republican party can go away.
3.  Primary process is all screwed up and if it's not changed the RNC will never again win an election.
4.  The republican party shows nothing but weakness and conservative Americans hate weak leaders.
5.  Quit trying to get the immigrant vote (you will never get a majority) and go get the conservative vote, we are sitting at home on election day because your candidates truly suck!  If you make the choice "left or left light"  I will stay home next election with the rest.
6.  Republican party's tactics suck.  Republicans are in constant battle and are constantly losing ground through compromise.
7.   You keep giving up our second amendment gun rights a little at a time - when are you going to get some back for us?  You fail to do anything when ever you have a majority.  This forces me to make a choice of donate to a party that doesn't listen or save the second amendment so I choose to save the second amendment.  If the republicans had done anything to avoid me being in this position I could donate to them.
8.  Calling a candidate a conservative does not make it so.  Stop lying to us.  Call it like it is.
9. The republican party is falling apart and isn't all on the same page.  The democraps all stay in step and follow their party leaders.  Kick out the mavericks and so called republicans who constantly vote with the democrats.

When they get upset about my reasons I tell them the only reason they are getting upset is because down deep you know it's true.
