Damn, you make me sad.

My old chevy truck was affectionately called "Thunder Chief", 350 with a 4-barrel, dual pipes and tiny mufflers.

Holy shit, I just saw this. Haven't even clicked the link yet.

Motorhead and Lemmy in particular are indelible icons to me.

Wow. Lemmy is dead. That absolutely sucks.

Metal wouldn't be the same without Motorhead. Not even close.

R.I.P.

Fucking awesome!  I quote that line all the time.  None of these new kids get it.

My ex gave me a Motorhead tape many years ago.  She said it was "demonic". Probably because it talks about religion.
Meh, see you later.

There was a huge birthday party in Hollywood at The Whisky just a couple of weeks ago for his 70th birthday party.

A lot of the rock icons from the 60's through the 80's are going to leave us in the coming years, and it is going to suck.

I watched a documentary several years ago and they mentioned he still lived in a rent controlled apartment he's had for decades.  True rock-star till the very end.
Link Posted: 12/28/2015 9:56:57 PM EDT
Oh no. RIP Lemmy.

70 is a pretty good run for a guy like Lemmy.

He should've had a transfusion of Keith Richards blood while he still had a chance, though...

Damn, I haven't been on the net or watching the news all day.  It seems like we're losing them at an accelerated rate lately. Fuck. RIP Lemmy, you were a badass.

It's "Lemmy The Movie" .  Great documentary.
In a series called "Classic Albums" he got together with Philthy Animal and Eddie Clarke to go over the making of "Ace of Spades".  It's a great bit of TV.

Lemmy's apartment is real close to "The Rainbow Room". in LA.

Lemmy may be dead, but he cast a huge shadow over Rock and Roll.  His influence will be felt for generations to come.

from their facebook page:

"...We will say more in the coming days, but for now, please…play Motörhead loud, play Hawkwind loud, play Lemmy’s music LOUD.
Have a drink or few."

Already there...
