I like mine on ice.

But for those of you that mix - what's your preference? Jack and ???

Coke.

Anyone drink the green label stuff? I tried it once and didn't particularly care for it.

I rarely-I mean rarely-drink whiskey. But when I do, I actually prefer Jim Beam.

I keep a fifth just for those that visit and drink bourbon.

When I DO drink it I have it on the rocks. Mixing it with Coke or 7UP reminds me too much of younger days of drunken folly.

Jim Beam just tastes smoother than Jack Daniels to me. Different strokes for different folks, and all that shit.

I keep a bottle of Glenlivet scotch and a bottle of Crown Royal for the same purpose-I rarely drink it but like to have it on hand for those that do. (on the rocks for that as well)

My wife likes Jack and Coke or Coke with Lime...

I'm a Captain Morgan man myself...
Link Posted: 5/20/2005 1:36:55 PM EDT
I'm an admitted rum man myself and really like the taste of Capt. Morgan, but that stuff gives me THE WORST heartburn. In fact, ALL spiced rums do, for some reason.

I tend to stick with my favorite, Havana Club Cuban rum, Bacardi Select (black label) or Bacardi white.

Hey old buddy; are you going to be home tonight?

On the rocks.

Real people that enjoy a good whiskey would not think of mixing it any further than a couple of ice cubes or maybe, if your feeling a bit rough a splash of branch water. Sheesh, some people...

I prefer mine straight with no ice to melt and dilute the good stuff.
Link Posted: 5/20/2005 1:50:35 PM EDT
I usually drink it straight, but have recently gotten into the habit of adding a couple of ice cubes (does that mean I have to turn in my mancard?)

Only a classless retard / high school pussy would ruin it with coke.

mmmmm Turkey 101 on the rocks.

I prefere Rebel Yell over Jock Jack but each to their own.

Jack-rocks.

Jack & splash of Coke.

Sometimes I just sit the Coke near the Jack and that is good enough.

Apple jacks are nice sometimes too. DeKyper (Sp?) Pucker, bitters, Jack, Club Soda.

I'll be playing pool with Jack Daniels tonight!

I used to really enjoy Jack. Ice only please. But it started
tasting different some months back, and I don't drink it
any more. I think I heard a rumor that the distillery had
reduced the proof on it, adding more water.

So I switched to Makers Mark. Good stuff.

As to the Green Jack. Had it once many years ago and
I remember it being pretty bad.

On the rare occasion that I drink Jack Daniels whiskey, I have two fingers in a highball glass with two ice cubes.

Rye whiskey is my weapon of choice. Wild Turkey Rye is my first choice and Jim Beam Rye is my second choice.

I don't drink JD as much as I used to because of heartburn.

Jack and Marlboro's. Smoke and a drink after a days work, always wors for me.

Same here, but we always keep a bottle of Jack around. He's never done us wrong.

That's my drink of choice. Every now and then I'll go with a Seven and Seven.

Jack and Goya Ginger Beer = good stuff the ginger beer actually has some CS in it to give the
ginger some more 'kick'. Sweetened w/ real sugar too. Great stuff to drink if you've got a cold.
Just beware the after-effects can be just like you ate a spicy meal the night before.
Have some soothing aloe wet-wipes on hand if you drink a lot of it.

I don't drink any more but I seem to remember it went pretty good with valium or xanax, of course that was after they quit making quaalude. isert emoticon lying face down in puke.

It would probably go good with the 1700 pounds of weed they're talking about in another post.

Eat less. Have a Maalox shooter before nighty-night.

Damn I'm thirsty. I hear the doorbell. Yes, it's Jack.
