I need to record hockey games from the TV to my computer and burn them to DVD for my brother in Afghanistan. What type of hardware can I use to do this?

Thanks, Rob

First I'd have to ask what you have for a PC.

If you have a good P4 box you could get a cheap $19 Hauppauge WinTV-GO TV Tuner/ Video Capture Card. Then just use whatever DVD software that came with your burner to make the DVD.

I would second this. The software that will come with this is fairly easy to use. You could also try bit torrent sites.
