Is there any way for me to trace a regular letter, sent First Class, to show the addressee received it?  Yeah, I know, send it Certified - my own fault.  Can I show that the guy got it in any way?

I'm not a mailman, but I believe that, prior to sending, you can request that they have a receipt of delivery attached. When it gets delivered, you get notified.
